I came home very excited about my fruit and veggie score yesterday with most items being under a dollar a pound and some as low as 50 cents a pound. Well, today all my savings are going to be spent getting pantry items and milk:banghead::banghead::banghead: At least Wegman's is one of my stops:joyfull:
Thats one of my nightmares having to expend ALL the money on groceries and having nothing less for anything else D:

So I went to the supermarket this morning and picked up some organic stevia powder to give it another try. It was rather expensive at $8 so I was thinking that this better be worth it. Anyway I went to check out and the bottle wasn’t scanning. The cashier even inputed the bar code. Still nothing. The manager came over and tried her part. Nothing. She ended up giving it to me at no charge and said sorry for the delay. Well, I wasn’t going to say no for a gift like that. Any went home and searched for a recipe that I could try it with. Found a 1 minute vegan, paleo blueberry muffin recipe. Here is the link. There are other 1 minute muffins plus there are iven instructions if you don’t want to use a microwave. https://thebigmansworld.com/2015/09/11/healthy-1-minute-blueberry-muffin/
The recipe called for 2 tablespoons of the Stevia. Glad I used half a tablespoon because it was bordering on too sweet for me. In any case it was not too bad. Luckily I had the ingredients at home so I didn’t have to buy anything, plus I got the bonus stevia. :p I ate half of it before I remembered to take a picture.

No tax on clothes in PA. I know NJ doesn't have it either. I am not sure but I don't think Texas has a state income tax, so they have to make it up elsewhere. Is that correct @donaldtoo ?

Yep, no state income tax, but, as all beauracracies do, they make up for it in other ways... ;) :cyclops: :cautious: :cyclops: ;)
Property tax, sales tax, “fees”, etc.
I can’t even remember what our property tax rate is here right now (probably for the best, as it would just raise my BP more than it needs to be ;)), but the sales tax rate in our county is currently 0.0825 % on the dollar. Certain things are exempt, like milk and other “necessities”. :cyclops:

No tax on clothes or items to make clothes but quilting fabric is taxed. I have questioned that at some fabric stores and had the tax taken off when I told the clerk what I was making with it.

Here in MA, we also don't have sales tax on clothes. However, there are certain guidelines (and I don't recall the exact amounts), but as a hypothetical, if you buy a winter coat and spend $200, that's considered reasonable. However, if you spend, say, $500, then you get into a luxury item and you are taxed--I assume just the amount "above" the reasonable amount.
