For a while Prisoner of Azkaban was my least favorite, but then it grew on me. Probably bookwise Chamber of Secrets is my least favorite now as well. Movie-wise I think Part 1 of Deathly Hallows is my least favorite. I also didn't like the last bunch of minutes in part 2. I don't understand...
why they had Harry not use the Elder Wand to repair his broken one like in the book, and then get rid of the Elder Wand.
Bookwise, I love them all, though Umbridge still makes me want to throw the book across the room. Movie-wise, everything after 2 was just ruined. They completely messed them up. I have all the DVDs, but I don't watch them. It's not the story I know and love.

Umbridge makes me grit my teeth. I still get annoyed thinking that if Harry had told Dumbledore what she was doing that a lot of the nastiness could have been avoided. But alas, it is a story and in order for it to have gone a certain path certain things needed to be done, or not done. I do find the changes in the story to fit a film a bit annoying, but I still enjoy them.

Are you saying that if an item costs $200 then you will be taxed on $25. Still seems ridiculous and probably unfair to men who need to wear suits to work. Why can’t all clothing be tax free? I guess a lot of people may go into NH to pick up the more expensive items?

Our’s ends tomorrow, of course I bought T’s shoes and ordered all of T’s uniforms (besides the monogrammed ones) prior to the Tax Free. Didn’t even know about it until Saturday. :hilarious:

In Ohio the Tax Free is for school supplies/clothes.. but it does apply to any clothes. I buy the school supply kit from the school, so unfortunately the Tax Free doesn’t benefit me too much.

I had a Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber cassette when I was a teen and I used to sit in my room and blast it and sing along. While everyone else was blasting ACDC and Kiss and Guns and Roses, Metalica....I was blasting Andrew Lloyd Webber.
❤️❤️!!!

Here’s the one I had, was yours the same? (Pic from Google)

Thank you. He's not any more(hence not being able to get tax free booze) but working for who he does means they can ship him to some rather unfun places if they see fit. I'm just going to keep everything crossed for the next couple of months.
Do you know any more? When will you know for sure whether he's got to go or not? That's no fun at all, and I think the waiting is torturous to families!

I was trying to think of something new to do this past weekend.. as in a short 2 night road trip, returning today.

Looked at a million reviews and photos of Six Flags, decided that it would probably be a let down. Then we settled on Grand Haven, MI.

My mom called as we were packing and asked if we wanted to go to bro-in-laws baseball game (tournament final).. I had the phone on speaker, T heard it.. said he wanted to go to the baseball game instead. I was completely shocked, but said finally said “ok, I’ll save the driving time for a later date.”

Apparently there was strong currents this weekend and people drowned. I’m so glad that we didn’t go.

I do, when I can get it!! We don't have much in the line of cereal here. Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch was always my favorite, so I always get a box when we go to the US. I found Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Golden Grahams in Germany, and a discount store had cocoa puffs a few weeks back. But, I don't splurge often. It's a special treat when I do.

My mom never let us have the sweet cereals so they are a special treat to me as well. I recently tried cocoa puffs for the first time a couple months ago and was surprised by how much I liked it!

I'm enjoying summer today, my dh has a half day and will take one of the boys down to the inlaws to get some of their squash and beans(bumper crop), going to get some pool time and I don't have to cook. Best Monday ever at home:joyfull:

I am leaving a half hour early today to take my kid to the pool as well! I need some sunshine and vitamin D. This past week has been super stressful.

The universe was watching out for you. So sorry for the loss though. To me, that's one of the worst ways to see people go,... when they're on vacation. Like... vacations are supposed to be relaxing and happy.

Ever consider going to Hershey? Don't know how far that is for you.

We have The Greatest Showman soundtrack on regular rotation in both cars. A certain lady might have a bit of an obsession with that musical.
My kids (girls) are now into Grease. Been playing that over and over the last couple of days. Luckily some of the parts go above their heads, but then dd11 wanted to know what certain thing Keniki(spelling error) had that broke in the car. I ignored that question.

One more reason why I feel bad about not having a swim club membership, and having T be on their swim team. I hate that he isn’t as strong of a swimmer as I was as that age. It’s doesn't negate all risk, but it helps.

I feel horrible for the people and families involved, but part of the story was also warming., people formed a human chain to rescue swimmers.

I looked at that and Carowinds, the latter because we have CF platinum passes.. both were a little too far for an amusement park quick trip.

I don’t think we’re going to do Grand Haven or South Haven now.. I looked at some other places this morning and we decided on Indiana Dunes this weekend. They have a 3 Dune challenge that looks really fun, and T wants the tee shirt after he completed it.lol I’m going to check current conditions again.

I don’t want to do Lake Erie (a tad bit of a shorter drive) without going to Cedar Point, and we need more than 2 nights to enjoy that area. Soccer starts full swing again tonight.. 1st tourney in 2 weeks from now, and then school the next week.. 2 nights is our max, but I want to do something fun.

The Great Lakes can be as dangerous as the oceans. I think people forget that. Are there lifeguards there?
