OK, gang...
This will be more of a setup for the mini TR to come. An introduction to the players, if you will...! ;)

My own darn self: Steve.
Y’all kinda’ know me... :cyclops:
Mostly, by far and away, easy-going and can easily take a joke, and am definitely no stranger to self-deprecating humor/humour...!!! ;) :D
I have no problems having my cheese good-naturdly twisted ;), but, maliciously, or passive-aggressively, twist my cheese, and I’ll twist yours back twice as hard...!!! :bored::cautious:;)

My lovely DWifey: Carolyn
Master planner, hard worker, dreamer, wants to make everyone happy...a beautiful soul...!!!!!!!!!!!:inlove::happy::inlove::)
Oh, and one more... :inlove: ;)

DS: Matthew.
Curious about EVERYTHING on the planet!!! Especially about history and science...he’s a sponge. But, as I’ve posted before, he has major issues with time and space in real-time, and attention.
We bought a red bush-type hat with a drawstring for him in Cozumel last cruise in December, so we could keep better track of him. Worked to a point this trip, but, we’re contemplating getting him a tracking chip for future trips...!!! ;)

Youngest DD: Sarah
As independent as they come, but, one of the sweetest people you will ever meet...!!!!!
We raised both of our daughters not to take stooooopid crap from anyone, and we are sooo very proud of both of them...they are the most wonderful of young women...!!!!!
I always say they would have both made a good lawyer team...
Sarah is relentless, but, tends to go off the track a bit sometimes...!!!!! :hilarious:  Megan very much thinks things through, but, she could just never go in for the kill...!!!!! :hilarious:
Anyway... :cyclops: ;)

MIL: Shirley
I will just say she is a pip. Google the meaning, and pick your choice of the multiple meanings of that word...!!!!! :cautious: ;)
I definitely do love her, and she has been through a lot of crap over the years , but, she can be quite abrasive at times...and, not just to just me at all...EVERYBODY. Her and myself actually have a pretty good relationship. She is just pretty immobile at this point, and I spent a lot of my time with her and aunt Carol (to come next) during this cruise. Not a problem, I get her frustration, and I was more than happy to make things as easy as possible for her.
Plus, she brought my lovely DWifey and her 3 sibs into the world, and she has always been there...!!!!! :)

Aunt Carol:
Married into the family to Shirley’s youngest brother Dean. Good Lord that man was so decent and cool!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, he passed from lung cancer (yes, he was a heavy smoker) 17+ years ago.
Aunt Carol is, no joke, an angel...!!!!!!! :angelic: :)
On the road trip back she told me she had such a great time...!!! :)
Another beautiful soul...!!!!!

And, finally, our niece: Hayley
For what that kiddo has been through with her parents not-so-pretty divorce, she is amazingly stable and silly-fun...another very strong young lady, and just a great kiddo...!!!!! :)

So, that’s the mini TR runup...!!! :)
Back to the grind tomorrow (but, good and gracious Lord, I’d muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch rather be back on the boat...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The sweetest of dreams to each and every one of y’all...!!!!! :)

Laterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull:

UGH! (Glad I'm not a kiddo anymore . . . LOL . . . )
Green Bay doesn't have the problem of starting school before Labor day and they have a motive for it. The City wants their amusement park to open every day from June to Labor Day to be open.

That city owns an amusement park that based On what I read is only opens around 27 days in May and September combined, but has every day from June to end of August open.

That amusement park has a reputation for being an affordable for families for little kids for many decades including when I was a little kid. I used to go to that amusement park in the summer when we were in the Green Bay area back when my younger brother and I were little kids. The amusement park has been around since 1892 although they didn't have a roller coaster from 1937 to 2010. The Amusement Park also was much smaller in my day because the city bought 46 acres of land and is now bigger than Hong Kong Disneyland's only theme park.

I said affordable for young families because it has free parking, free admission, and option of bringing your own food and eat at a picnic table instead of using their concussion stand. The rides are not as cheap in terms of price compare to my era as a kid, but they are still are very cheap. Now days that amusement park according to their website has rides that costs 25 cents per person, 50 cents per person, 75 cents per person, and the amusement parks only roller coaster costs one dollar per person according to their website.

You can buy directly from the company. I like the rocket because the top lifts off completely from the stick base and I can wasily fo the stairs and get into cracks with the attachment. I bought it directly from Shark and got a great deal on Black Friday. They sell them at Lowes, Walmart, and Amazon too.

Yah, I'm leaning toward a combo type along those lines. Shark has received some very good reviews overall. (In the back of my mind, a few years ago, a friend of mine who was vacuuming down the stairs with a regular vacuum cleaner, tripped on it, and broke her ankle. ) So that's why I want the smaller vac for the stairs. The one I have now just isn't powerful enough. Thanks for the ad.

I have one that I bought at an auction over 20 years ago for $5.00. It was a used Kenmore Tank type. I still use it, however, the plastic coating of the wand/hose deteriorated to the point that entire hose is now made up of the metal spiral skeleton coated with many layers of Duct Tape. It still is working fine, the beater bar has never even needed a new drive belt. The motor is powerful and I can't bring myself to throw it out and get a new one. Every once in a while I have to patch up a part of the hose that either tore or just cracked. Easy fix just another layer of Duct Tape. Years ago I bought a huge supply of disposable vacuum bags. When I use those up I will either have to start just emptying them out and reusing them or get a new Vacuum. Either way my guess is that it owes me nothing at this point. It was a very good investment. But, alas, they don't make them like that anymore.

$5.00? For the issues you had, I wouldn't have paid more than $4.00! ;) :hilarious: Yah, those old Kenmore appliances were workhorses. Growing up, I know that my parents hardly ever replaced large or small appliances--they were built to LAST.

I love mine. I did pay extra for an attachment for upholstery. The picture I sent you was of the latest version. I still love that I can take the top off and use it to vacuum the stairs and the couches. When I store it the top comes off and sits nicely on a lip on the base of the vacuum. I will get you a picture.

That’s Bay beach right? Quite a few people from my area go over there for a mini-vacay. And then they visit the shrine too...Lambeau. (Not a shrine for me, not a Packer fan.)

Growing up we had a Kenmore washer and dryer. Both must have lasted over 20 years. They did make great stuff.
We did too. My Mom gave me her washer when I got married. We used it for a very long time until our DD went to college. We gave it to her to use in her apartment at college. She left it in the apartment when she moved to her house. So we got a ton of years out of that thing! They don’t make then like they used to!

We had Kenmore appliances too when I was growing up. I think my dad even took the washer & dryer down to Florida when he moved a couple years ago. The only new appliances I remember my parents buying was a a new dishwasher when I was in middle school, a new stove/oven when I was in college and they also got a new refrigerator but that was because my mom was tired of the harvest gold color of the fridge. They were all kenmore and still worked (except the dishwasher) my mom just got tired of their colors.

Growing up we had Kenmore, my father seemed like every Sat we went to Sears. As an adult the wife and I bought Kenmore had a washer that lasts over 20 years. Bought another and it was a piece of junk same with the refrigerator. Sears will go extinct because their quality of appliances have gone down hill; had a sales person who admitted I would not get 20+ years out of the new washer. Sad to see Sears go -- no company is too big to fail.
