Cool!
He is a Russian Blue/shorthair mix. His name was “Frankie” when we adopted him, but it didn’t seem to fit his goofy cat-dog nature, so we renamed him “Cosmo”(inspired by Donald O’Connor’s character in Singin’ in the Rain😄).
I thought that his fur was not black. That explains it. Beautiful cat! Cute name. Singin' in the Rain was a great movie.

SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or my guys will want to do it. Everybody sends their love and thnx again for the knives we used them quite a bit this "long weekend":inlove:
I thought of you, too, and StarWarsGirl, of course. But the only tour I knew you had done was the Behind the Seeds, so I thought maybe you weren't much of a tour person. Of course, you could always use it for a bit of alone time...send the boys on the tour while you go have a spa day and a few drinks by the pool.
And you're welcome! I use mine every day and it never fails to make me think of my dad. :inlove: Glad I could spread the love.

Just checking in. Today was the last day of school for DS. DD was out on Tuesday evening after their sendoff. The sendoff was....disappointing. They had some picture montages from the beginning of the year, from camp, and a video montage of the various teachers saying goodbye and giving them advice/encouragement for the future. A few of the girls prepared dances/lipsyncs, and then the principal called each kid up individually to receive a sort of diploma and an album with every kid's picture and future plans, etc. That was it....and the principal....he's been the principal of this school for 6 years with these same kids...like...45 kids and he didn't know how to pronounce half the names. How can you be the principal for 6 years and not know the kids' names? I'm not even there every day, it's not my job, and I still knew every one of their names, even the ones who came from the other school we merged with (where he was ALSO the principal for the last 6 years) just this year. There were a total of 4 kids from 6th grade from that school that I couldn't have named, because they weren't in DD's class and I never had any contact with them. But I find it appalling that the principal didn't know them. That screams of a serious disconnect. But whatever, we are DONE with that school, hallelujah!!

DH has taken DD out the last couple of days for Ingress events, and DS was feeling really left out because he still had to go to school. So today was his last day and DH made sure to spend some time with him today after school, and tonight DH and I have a date at a fancy schmancy restaurant kind of like Victoria and Alberts. It wouldn't be our choice of restaurant, but DH did some project for the boss and as a bonus, he was given a gift certificate for dinner for 2 at this place. It's a REALLY nice gift, certainly extravagant for a bonus. I am just NOT a fancy person and feel completely out of my element in a place like that. But it will be nice to have some time with just DH, so I can't complain.

And tomorrow, we leave for Germany...more Ingress for DH and DD, and DS if he wants to go. I will be site-seeing instead. We're headed to Köln first and I will see the Dom cathedral and probably a few other things, and maybe go shopping. And then we will probably go to Phantasialand, then on to Frankfurt, where I have a whole list of places I'd love to see, and then to Legoland. So I won't be on here much, if at all.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Also, I started carving this bear many years ago, but, only got about, maybe, 2/3rds of the way done with it, and then put it on a shelf. Oldest DD saw it and loved it, so I told her it was hers. And, also, my pop made the wood clock right next to it for her...! :)

And, I actually did end up with a piece of the original "pink and green" Disney Store that I was a CM at for those 4+ years... :cautious:

View attachment 294760

It used to be the topper for our old Store activity board before we got a new one.
It was going to be destroyed in the crusher out back like everything else at the Store was to be that was defective, broken, replaced, etc....nothing like that was to leave the Store, unless it was deemed satisfactory for donation. The crushing of said items was to be witnessed by a manager and at least one CM.
I went out with our manager to witness it's destruction. I made a comment about what a shame. She looked around and then said... "If you want it, get it to your car right now, and don't say a word to anyone!"
I took it, and then, oh so casually :cautious::hilarious: walked it to my car about 25yds. away... :cyclops:
I gave it to oldest DD to use in her wedding, and they are now going to use it in granddaughters nursery...!!!!! :inlove:
That seems so wasteful to destroy it!! How sad that they do that! I'm glad at least something was rescued. I wonder how many rescues there were over the years of stuff like this.

It's always a time vs money thing for tours. We all want to do more but we never seem to have the time:(

I had one jacket that I brought with me for my trans-Atlantic cruise and I wore it at both formal nights. I had a different shirt and tie, etc. I didn't bring a suit, just a sports coat that I could interchange into a different ensemble. Cruises require multi tasking. There was one guy that had a T-shirt with the print of a tux on it and got away with it. Unless your name is Bond, James Bond the definition of "formal" is pretty loose.

I have one suit for both formal nights. First and only suit I've ever bought in my life, at cost ;), from the clothing store I do the closers at, originally for oldest DDs wedding! Just change up the shirt and tie...! :)
And, pretty sure James Bond is the only dude on the planet who actually knows how to tie his own bow tie...!!!!! :hilarious:

That sounds good--especially the last sentence! :hungry: Just curious though--did that mean your milk was not pasteurized? Different states have different laws about that. I know in MA, it can be legally sold on a farm--but only the farm from which it was produced; it is against the law in MA to sell it in any grocery or retail stores, for example. Other states have various laws about it, and 20 states don't allow the sale at all.

The milk was never sold anywhere. It was only what we consumed on their farms.
I miss stuff like that sooooo very much...milk direct from the cow, fresh eggs from the henhouse, fresh-killed chickens that were the most awesome soup just a few hours later, along with homemade noodles that only my lovely mother can seem to repeat...!!!!!!! :hungry:
All the food, and I mean ALL OF THE FOOD, just seemed to taste sooooooo much better than similar stuff I've had these days...an authentic, natural, earthiness that can NEVER be beat...!!!!!!! :hungry: :joyfull:
