I have 5 minutes left and then we have to head back to the tour bus. Our days that we got off the boat were all excellent days. Alaskans keep telling us how lucky we have been. Sunshine and 80F two days in a row. Yesterday our final day was cool and foggy but it was a day at sea ...no port of call. Today in Anchorage is sunny and in the low 60s.

You have discerning tastes in fine cinema. Turner CLASSIC Movies -- The Blob reached that elevated status just a soon as it was released, back in 1958, and remains at the pinnacle, of quality, educational movies that have withstood the test of time!!

Hahaaa...!!! :hilarious:

;)

I like that it stars Steve McQueen and Aneta Corsaut. McQueen of movie fame, of course, and Corsaut mostly known for playing Helen Crump on the Andy Griffith show and, it's spinoff, Mayberry RFD.
And, it was both of their film debuts...!!! :)

Did you have a few cocktails with your dinner? ;)

That must have been really cool to see a Batmobile. It's surprising you saw one, and you weren't in California (where one would assume they'd have the cars in some studio warehouse, etc.) However, not sure how many of them were made, and perhaps one or more were sold at public auction, perhaps? Can you imagine driving one of those around town, and the looks you'd get?! :joyfull:

According to the site below, there were a total of 4 built for the mid-60's TV show...the #1 car and 3 replicas.
George Barris (the creator of the car) owned the #1 car until he sold it at auction in 2013 for $4,200,000.
Even if the replicas were only worth 1/4 that, I can't see anybody just casually driving a $1,000,000+ car down a public highway. If that thing's goin' any appreciable distance I would imagine it being towed in a covered trailer.
I'm guessing that car was probably a knockoff replica of the original cars.
Or, I guess the owner of an original could have lost his mind, or gotten really drunk, or has taken out enough insurance (or all 3 ;)) to cover it bein' a total loss..... :cyclops:;):)

With thermal feeling of 42 (BRUTAL 107 F)

I was mere minutes out in the parking lot and I felt like fainting.. the humidity is incredibly hot.
Hopefully that monstrous anvil shaped storm cloud will dump the contents on us.

In something completely different.
If Neymar spent all that time he tried to get a penalty or foul by flopping like a fish, he would have netted the goal they needed.
So much soccer talent wasted in acting.
De Bruyne was masterful as well.

Also.. Brazil had sooo many chances.. Curtuois(Goalkeeper of Belgium) was huge.
