Cons here are very similar...

Tourists (both drunk, dirty, rude).
Hurricanes, Heavy Storms
Power Outages
Insane temps (above 90F or 35C on average with thermals above 100F/40C)
Mosquitos, Ants and bugs everywhere!
Surprisingly it is not the hurricanes, or insane temps that would keep me from moving to Florida, it's the creepy crawlies. For my 7 year old, it is the sink holes. I never should have let her watch that special on the Weather Channel. She said to me earlier this week that she was glad she lived in Pennsylvania because we were safe from natural disasters. She didn't use the words natural disasters of course. She mentioned the sink holes, and tornadoes, and hurricanes, etc. Florida does get a lot of those natural disasters. At least she doesn't know it is the lightening capital of the world yet. That would be another thing to add to her list.

I'm pretty late....haven't been on for several days. But, I watched a DFB video about things you didn't know you could do at Disney and there is apparently a 7 hour Star Wars tour. Have you done that? I didn't even know that was an option, but I thought of you immediately this morning when I saw it.
I saw that video pop up on my YouTube feed a couple of days ago but I didn't click it. I thought it would be stuff I already knew. I didn't know about the Star Wars tour though, so I may need to watch the video now to see if there are things I don't know. Her last one about things you didn't know you could do at Disney wasn't eye opening for me because I knew all those. I would prefer something you didn't know you could do for free of course.;)

@figmentfan423 , let me know how your dehydrated crackers came out. I am still pondering if I should get a dehydrator.
Isn't a "cracker" almost by definition already dehydrated and couldn't you do the same thing by just leaving it out in the open or putting it in an oven? I don't recall ever biting into a wet center cracker. At the moment I am having enough trouble trying to make sense out of the world around me, are you trying to run me over the edge?

Thanks! I have seen that and it is too much Star Wars for me. 😀

Oh well.. if you take these into consideration.. my hometown also has a few varieties of Scorpions, Black Widows, Quakes, and well.. the narc cloud (which isn't visible in an obvious way).

But since these are rarely seen...

Generally(as in almost always) it is pretty quiet over here.. only gets wild on popular vacation days.
No surprise there is a big retiree community around.

Well, most of it was stuff I already knew. I think the only things I DIDN'T know were about the Star Wars tour, that you can rent segways, and that you can learn to shoot a bow and arrow. OH, and I thought the smores thing was only at Fort Wilderness, but she said it was pretty much at every resort, but DD and I are thinking maybe the Fort Wilderness one is the only one with Chip and Dale? The rest of the stuff was all stuff we had seen in trip reports, etc. So you probably don't need to watch the video. I just thought of a few people here who are huge Star Wars fans, and @ajrwdwgirl in particular, because they do the tours and special dining stuff quite a bit.

The only thing I didn't know about was being able to decorate a Christmas Tree at the Christmas store in MK. I like the idea, but not really sure that it is something that we would do. It would be tough to forgo going on BTMRR, or SM first thing. Maybe one day if we do a really long trip. We usually do 7 days, and that never seems like enough time.

ESPN has broadcast bowling more recently. It was on when there were no other sporting events happening. It is there on the bottom rung of the sports totem pole, along with pool.

ESPN proper, or one of the other ones? Or, do they still have other ones...? :cyclops:

I forgot to mention, way back when we first posted about this, that I have a distant relative that was a pro bowler. His name was Wayne Zahn. Zahn is my grandmother on my pops side maiden name. IIRC, he was her first cousin once removed. He was actually pretty successful during his time...

And, oh yes, I definitely remember watching a few pool tournaments on Wide Wotld of Sports way back when...Minnesota Fats, Willie Mosconi, Steve Mizerak. Those are the only names I can remember off the top of my head..... :cyclops:
Flashback...!!!!!!! :hilarious: ;) :)

Indeed! :)
But, I was planning to get some yardwork done today so I could chill tomorrow... :cyclops:
'Posed to be an even greater chance for rain tomorrow, though.
Oh well, if I hafta' wait 'til next weekend, or even after our cruise, it all doesn't look bad, so I'm cool...!!!!!!! :joyfull:;):)

No worries -- the grass will still be on the lawn when you return from your cruise. :p
