How many rooms does it have? If we all chip in for our golden girls house, that's not really that much.

There are 5 bedrooms plus a 2 bunk (4 more people) area...so it would sleep 14 comfortably...I think y'all would be good...!!! ;):)

And yes...
Still WAYYYYYYY behind...!!!!! :hilarious:

Also, sorry about your DS wrist, and hope he is healing well by now. I've had a cast more than once...generally, no fun...but, you can sometimes use it to your advantage...!!! ;)

At least it would be easier to find in parking lots;) We had an off white car once it was such a joy to try and find in DTD's parking lot. NOT!

One of my uncles bought a brand new 'Stang similar to this one, in this color, back in '69...it's called "grabber blue"...

You could definitely find it quickly in a parking lot...!
Funny how many of these "60's" colors have been making a comeback on many factory vehicles in recent years...as "they" say, what's old is new again...!!! ;):)

O.k. I give up. Though I'm far from a health food person, I do try (once in a while) to maybe select something that is lower fat or sodium. That's what I've read to do.

Also, I have a friend (who is diabetic) and was she having trouble regulating her insulin (had to increase it, which made her hungry and she was gaining a ton of weight). Her doctor suggested that she was a candidate for gastric bypass, but she first had to go to weeks of weight control with a dietician. She had to pick all low fat foods, in order to get in a safe weight range, for the operation. So I figured if the experts told her to use lower fat, then I figured it was probably good advice for anyone.

But then I read your comments above about lower fat, and sort of threw my hands up in the air. :( Oh well.

Yep, I've read about this stuff before, too...they make it lower in "fat", but, yet, they replace it with a bunch of junk that can make you, well, just as fat... :cyclops:
Foods that are naturally fatty are never made better by them being engineered to being low fat. (and they generally just don't taste as good without the fat, because the fat was a major factor in the good taste in the first place) People just need to eat foods that are naturally low in fat, if that is what they're trying to achieve.
Bottom line, don't depend on food additive genius Clark Griswold to save your life...!!!!! :hilarious: ;)

That sounds good--especially the last sentence! :hungry: Just curious though--did that mean your milk was not pasteurized? Different states have different laws about that. I know in MA, it can be legally sold on a farm--but only the farm from which it was produced; it is against the law in MA to sell it in any grocery or retail stores, for example. Other states have various laws about it, and 20 states don't allow the sale at all.

It was milk from a farm cow direct to the breakfast table...there was no govment' agency that required it to be pasteurized between the cow barn and the farmhouse...! ;)
It was never sold, it was only consumed by us.
As I've posted before, most everything we ate on those farms was fresh. Everything from eggs from the chicken house to the chickens themselves. I've posted before about my dainty, wonderful, grandmothers (no cut down, as they were awesome strong women, and I loved and respected them very much, and always will) would don a bonnet, apron, and hatchet to head out to the chicken house for some later lunch...lopped their heads off on a tree stump, and threw them in a galvanized 5 gal. bucket. Chicken scratch galore... :cyclops:
The hounds and cats got the chicken heads, and we got the most awesome chicken soup I've ever had, straight out to this day, in my entire life...!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull: :hungry:

That's interesting--I wonder why Austin has so many fans? (Side note: I have zero interest in soccer, but then again I don't watch an major league sports.) Also, I never grew up with soccer -- that was a game played by other countries, so it just seems so foreign to me. I know things have changed though, on the sports front in our country, and it's definitely gained more fans as time went on.

Anyway, hope your city does get the team, as there certainly are a lot of soccer fans there!

Not sure either, really.
All I know, is when we moved to Austin in '76, it was already pretty popular here. About as popular as it was in No Cal when we lived there, actually. In No Cal I remember going to Spartan Stadium to watch the San Jose Earthquakes soccer team a few times, before we moved back to Texas.
I was into baseball, but, then I started playing soccer, and loved it...!!!!! :joyfull:
I was always a starter and played full games, and it was sooo fun to play, and I slept like a stone on those nights...!!!!! :hilarious:
For some reason, I just can't get into watching it anymore...probably envy of those who can still play at full speed...!!!

Not that I know anything about baseball, but why the heck don't they make ALL the players wear those hard-had baseball caps -- not just the person who is up at bat?

When I played Little Leauge baseball, I think all base coaches were required to wear a helmet. But, I'm not sure, as I've slept...a lot...since then... :cyclops:

Prayers to that young man and his whole family.
And I hope things have improved for him by now...

The fact that I can remember that is what's actually making me so happy...!!!!! :hilarious:

Even crazier, I remember the address of our first rental home in No Cal...1577 Princeton Drive...can't remember the rest, though...
But, I do remember most of our stuff in our second bought home in No Cal...how I remember all this, I have no clue.....
5735 Tonapah Drive,
San Jose, California, 95123. :hilarious:

Or, maybe I should just go back to basics. As my grandmother used to say, "Everything in moderation."

Reminds me a little of the French Chef, Julia Child. She cooked up the most delicious entrees and desserts. She was once asked how the French people could eat such wonderful food, but many managed to maintain a reasonable weight. She said that they'd savor smaller portions of well-prepared dishes--taking their time to eat a meal. I figure that's probably where I've gone wrong--I eat like my dog does--I wolf down everything on my plate and then go for seconds! :hilarious:

This is fascinating, because I had actually "forgotten" about these types of colors until I saw your photo. I'm on the fence about them working on newer car models, but I guess I'd just have to see photos first.

He's healing well, thanks. One more week of the real cast and then he has 2 weeks of a brace that he can take off at night. What I don't understand is that he broke his WRIST, and they gave him a full cast up past his elbow...it makes no sense. But....only one more week!!
