We saw The Incredibles 2 this afternoon. Very entertaining for all ages. Anyone on this forum agree or disagree?

My husband and I saw it on Saturday and really enjoyed it. I would say I enjoyed the first one better but really not by much. I'm trying to talk my niece into seeing it tomorrow, but she has seen it too and wants to see something else.

Ha ha ha ha ha!!! That’s funny! Ok, the business sponsorship makes sense. I forgot about that movie.. we’ll have to watch it one night.

Just make sure it's the original from 1976!
There was a remake starring Billy Bob Thornton made in 2005. Haven't seen the remake myself, so not sure, but, I heard it was
Not as good as the original, But, then again, they usually aren't.
The original came out the year I finished up little league...it was a HOOT...!!!!!!! :joyfull:

I was raised in a small town way up in northern New York I my first year in High School, A catholic high school, two seniors decided that they wanted to go for a ride. So, they made a private Sunday appointment, went down to the local Buick dealer, found a tire lug wrench and beat the salesman to death with it, and then went for a ride in a brand new Buick. This was in 1962. They got about 40 miles away before anyone figured out what happened and called the police. They were caught right away, but, was a stigma for a small town and a small private school.

The only really crazy thing I remember happening in the last of the two neighborhoods we lived in our 8 years in No Cal was a shooting. Some high school
and junior high school kids were at a party at a house a few blocks away. Parents out of town, of course. One (neither was the parents child) guy from JH was bullying another guy from JH and making fun of him, then walked into another room. The guy being bullied grabbed a deer rifle that was above the fireplace mantel, made sure it was loaded, went into the other room, and shot the guy that was bullying him. The kid that was shot was standing sideways. The bullet went through his upper arm, chest, other arm, and into the wall beyond. Unbelievably, the kid survived, but spent about a month in the hospital. I remember the morning he showed back up at the bus stop.

In this neighborhood, after 41+ years of being back in Austin, the only really crazy thing was a triple murder.
It was back in the early 90's. Also a few blocks away, a local HS kid that was a checker at a grocery store we used to frequent shot a mom and her young son and daughter in their home with a .22 rifle one morning as they were getting ready to go to work and school.
It was actually kinda' weird the way it was all handled as well. No motive was ever given, and the reporting from the news and police just were so vague. After a few months it all just seemed to go away. At one point, we heard about a posible relationship between the shooter and the mother.
Thankfully, nothin' remotely close to that crazy in the rest of the 40+ years.

Nothing is tastier than mayo. (Although I buy a lower fat version now), my favorite mayo in the world is the original Hellmann's. :hungry::hungry::hungry: When I was a kid, my dad and I used to make mayo sammies--on white bread, and we'd sometimes sprinkle pepper on it. (I don't know if there is this brand in Guernsey, though.) :(

One of my favorites as a kiddo (and still is ;)) was sliced tomatoes, sliced cheese (block cheese slices, but, individually wrapped would do ;)), with a WHOLE LOT of mayo on white bread...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :hungry:

I finally have all my pictures loaded onto the computer and I'll share some of the Disney ones now.

It was time to leave Maderia Beach and head to Orlando, so of course the Magic Bands went on.

We dropped off the car at the airport and took the Magical Express to the Coronado. I was nervous about the construction, especially for my friend, but we weren't really bothered by it at all. And we were in Casitas #1 so we had a refurbished room, it was really nice.

Check out the huge TV! I had to introduce my friend to Stacey. My friend was not as impressed as I am.

The last time we stayed at the Coronado was in 2006, in fact on this day in 2006 we were there. We stayed in the Cabanas section which was nice but reminded me of the Caribbean. I was really impressed by the Casistas and actually the Ranchos section, the theme was really unique. No wonder @JenniferS likes this resort.

We fly out 10 weeks tomorrow! 😲
Sadly, our first night will be in some dive on 192.

It really is a lovely resort. We’ve booked a preferred room, so we’re in the Casitas, which means we’re guaranteed a refurbed room this year.

How were the beds? I’ve heard the new mattresses are quite nice, but the pillows are divine. Do you concur?

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

I don't know if any of you watch/have watched "Pawn Stars", but, Richard "The Old Man" Harrison passed earlier today from Parkinson's. I didn't even know he had Parkinsons's.
Anyway, I only found out because I channel surfed onto History Channel on a night it is scheduled for American Pickers and a PS rerun was ending with an "In memory/loving memory of..." dedication.
Anyway, for anyone that might care, there it is.

That's a shame. I watched more episodes of that show than I care to admit, and I'm sorry to hear this. :(

The beds were very comfy, but I could have used a bit firmer of a pillow. But when I used a couple pillows it was fine. Unfortunately, the trip is over but hubby and I will be going back soon. This little stay at the Coronado was part of a Florida beach trip with a college roommate.

Most of the time, I just mix the tuna with mayo. Sometimes, I add a little diced celery. I'll also eat it with diced onion, but that's not my first choice. Do you ever put potato chips inside a tuna sandwich? That's all kinds of fun--used to do that when I was a kid. :hilarious:

Hahaaa...!
With me it was Frito-Lay corn chips...!!!!! :hungry:
My best friend in junior high ate corn chips with every single sack lunch he ever brought to school. One day he wasn't feeling very well at lunch and asked if I wanted his corn chips...yea, took those in a heartbeat, and happened to have a tuna sandwich that day...got inspired, took the top bread off, dumped about half the bag on it, and...EUREKA...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :hilarious: :hungry: ;) :)

Yea, still watching episodes right now.
And yes, more than I care to admit, as well...to say I am, and always have been, very skeptical of "reality shows" is WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY beyond an understatement...:cautious: :cyclops: ;)
But, some of them can still be entertaining, otherwise, and that is one that is for me...!!! :)

The bus we took was to the Magic Kingdom and we headed to the Poly and to Trader Sams. Once there we met up with a terrific twosome... @Tuvalu and @TrolleyFollower91

When we left the Polynesian we ran into @riverside and had a quick chat, I wish we could have chatted longer.

The monorail rolled past the Magic Kingdom, but sadly there would be no visit for me this time. It was still beautiful to see.
