Oh no! What happened? 😧
Perforated his ear drum while we were cliff jumping. The pain was intense, he cried like crazy.. but it was such a delayed cry.. finally cried himself to sleep while I went in search of an urgent care.. couldn’t find one, so we ended up having to drive to the closest hospital, an hour away. Both ears are now infected as well.

He says they don’t hurt anymore, but unfortunately he can’t swim for at least two weeks until we see his regular doctor and find out if the perforation healed. :( We’re going to leave in the morning, we’ll come back when he can enjoy all of it.

Technically, rock jumping.
Yikes.. hopefully he will get strong medicine, getting an infection is not fun.
Specially if its dirty water that might contain that awful brain eating amoeba D:

That’s why I made him hold his nose! I held mine too. I’m scared of the crazy amoeba.lol

Ibuprofen as needed, but not in prescription form. Only the ear drops and we wait and hop for the perforation to heal, it should without having to see an ear nose and throat doctor.

We had some mammoth thunderstorms around 1 AM, and they lasted a long time. Even hours after that, I couldn't get back to sleep. The dog was awake during the storms, but he's been snoozing for hours now. Meanwhile, I have to go to work in a few hours. :banghead:

I wish we had those. We just had dinky few rumbles of thunder (typed thumber originally and laughed my head off) and that was it.

Wow, poor kid. Hope it heals fast and properly. Ear infections and ear pain are tough. That cliff/rock jump looks scary to me! Brave!
