Bummer about your allergies. Allergies are a big mystery to me, in that I always wonder why some people get them and others don't. The other odd thing about allergies is that some people never have them, but out of the blue in their older years, they get them.
Allergies are a mystery to everyone. There are a lot of theories out there. They know that there must be a genetic component (my parents both have allergies; oddly enough, my mother and I have the exact same drug allergies; both sides of the family include lots of allergies). One theory is that there's something in our environment that causes people to have more allergies. There's also a theory that people are too neat and that causes allergies. They think that people who are exposed to stuff at a younger age are less likely to develop allergies. One of the reasons my doctor thinks I'm not allergic to cats is because my mom had cats from the time I was a baby. One even used to sleep in the crib with me. But then I used to be able to eat everything that I'm now allergic to. Yet now I can't even be around peanuts and especially not pineapple, even though I used to enjoy both of those things.

Allergies remain a mystery. Who knows why we get them. I would love to know.

I like Chinese mustard (wasabi, too) but in small doses. I have a friend that can eat either one by the spoonful.
Crayfish are yummy...fav way to eat is in a lobster bisque type dish. BTW, we called them crawdads when I was a kid.

I luvs me some mudbugs! :hungry:
Years ago, my youngest brother worked at a popular Cajun restaurant here in Austin called Pearl's Oyster Bar. I would always order a dozen oysters on the half shell as an appetizer and the crawfish fettuccini for my entree. Bro would always make sure the chef added twice the regular amount of mudbug tails to the dish...! :)

Tam Tam and I went looking at Open Houses.
Bro #3 has sold his house, and needs to find something pronto.

We clearly crossed a couple off his list. Ugh!
And then we looked at some stuff just for fun.
My son was asking me about home loans last night and APRs. I told him that part of getting a house is a drag and that the best part is going to the open houses.

I find that I also develop an allergy to some of the people I work with.

It's Hamilton ... they're weird there.

Actually, this condo is a major tentpole in the revitalization of the entire downtown.
Slowly, slowly, DT Hamilton is looking less like a war zone and more like a safe, decent place to live and work.

I'm not sure how I ended up on their email list, but the whole project looks intriguing to me. We're a few years away from making that kind of move, but eventually I would be happy to live in an apartment style condo, preferably closer to the waterfront. Hubby is leaning more toward a townhouse condo.

Either way, we've decided to stay put here for a few more years, and buy the Florida condo first.
Sadly, a whole bunch of delay notices just went out (due to weather) and a significant number of our home closings have been pushed to the end of the year ... ergo, no $$ available until the new year. :(

Sorry to hear about the cash flow situation. At least y'all know it'll be there, just further down the road. :)

My original reaction still stands. Pass.
But, after further analysis (and finally bein' pretty much delirium-free, today) I have another design thought regarding that project. What I think would have been really cool, is if they would have mimicked the gothic architecture (not, necessarily, even meaning material-wise) of the church in the architecture of the condo on the lower levels to tie in better, and then slowly morphed into the more rectilinear/modern shapes/architecture as it progressed through the middle to the upper floors.
I just have this picture in my head that looks as cool as heck...! :)
