That's funny, but I have a better one for you. Back in the 90s, I worked for a company that decided to spiffy up the employee breakroom; and one thing they added was a microwave oven. At that time, we had a foreign visitor, and she didn't care for the building cafeteria downstairs, so she'd go to the grocery store nearby, and pick up a few things for her lunch. One day, she brought in 1/2 dozen eggs, took one out, and put the rest in the little refrigerator in the room. So, she takes a (raw) egg in the shell, and she put it in the microwave to cook it, because we didn't have a stove or hotplate in the breakroom. Of course, the egg explodes in the microwave, and we were all were laughing about that, and teasing her for the rest of her visit! ;)
Whenever we have a code red at work we always wonder who burned popcorn in the microwave.

Where is everyone today. I'm stuck inside today because my allergies are bad when I go outside.

Hi! I'm here! I took a break for a while from the NASCAR race on t.v. Probably @MOXOMUMD is watching, too, so that's why she's not on now.

Bummer about your allergies. Allergies are a big mystery to me, in that I always wonder why some people get them and others don't. The other odd thing about allergies is that some people never have them, but out of the blue in their older years, they get them.

On another subject, this past week, with the exception of the zero weather days, there has been some intermittent warmer temperatures (up to 35 today). So there has been "some" melting of the huge snowbanks everywhere. My back yard has gone from 5 feet of snow, almost down to 4 feet now. I think we'll have at least 1 foot of snow back there into early April at this rate! :)

I'm trying to catch up, just got home from a few days in Washington DC. It was my first time there and we had a great time!

There's so many interesting things to do there. I visited DC many years ago, and everything was free (in the sense that it's our tax dollars that pay for us to go on a tour of the White House, the FBI, visit monuments, etc.) Did you also drive down Massachusetts Avenue (Embassy Row)? Looking at the different styles of embassies was fascinating to me.

We're thinking of canceling our membership. Because the first time we used them, they towed the car to the wrong repair shop. Then the second time, they rescued me with a flat tire. No issues, they were there in 45 minutes, and they told me that the tire rim was damaged, which was helpful.

This time...ugh

Hopefully they did something for y'all to make up for all the issues?
I read on... :)

DC was really interesting, and we needed a cheaper vacation and with the "free" museums it worked out a lot under our spring vacation budget. And there was a problem with our hotel room, a water leak, so we got moved to a suite and was comped a nights stay, so it worked out even better.

We didn't go down Embassy Row, not enough time. We got there on Thursday during the snow "storm" and went to the National American History Museum, and tried to go to some others but they were closed. We had also planned the trip to coincide with our hockey team (Minnesota Wild) being in DC and we caught that game on Thursday as well. Then we had a full day of touring the Mall, Air & Space Museum, and Capital on Friday. Then yesterday was the Holocaust museum and then home. We got to do a bunch of stuff but still plenty more to do, I guess we will have to go back!
