Today is the last "Thursday" of my school year. I teach my band kids one lesson once a week....so from now until the last day of school (Wed. 6/20) every time a kid walks out of my room it's the last time I'll see them. :( They all move on to Middle School next year ;)
...........but it's just 2 weeks until my Royal C. cruise out of Vancouver :joyfull:

A cruise--now that's exciting news!

I'll miss my mom when I move out. The cooking, the late nights watching Golden Girls, the Scrabble games, the banter...

You'll miss your dad, too. Sounds to me like he's a very good man--maybe a little overprotective at this point--but a decent, caring father. You see, my father passed away many years ago. He wasn't perfect either, but I'll tell you--I'd give anything for him to be alive--even for just a little while again, so I could say, "Hi Dad" and see him smile. But that's not possible anymore.

Agree. Sorry for your loss.

I do think that an adult relationship with one’s parents, once living outside of their home, can still be very close though.

Oh sure, now I’m all teary eyed. 😢

I know their slow at their own offices, but while you’re at a dealership? What do they do to hold you up?
Oops just saw her answer. What do they do in your state?

The tags. Basically, they couldn't find the VIN number. Even though we had no problem adding the car to insurance. Ended to get temporary ones until they can sort it out.

That’s so weird! I didn’t even know that a dealership can give you hard plates.

Ok, so that’s done.. Do you have the car in your possession now?

Very nice park pictures. T cracked me up with his tree climbing. I used to love climbing trees when I was a kid, too!

Me too! T isn’t as good at it as I was ;). Unfortunately he just doesn’t have a lot of exposure to climbable trees like I did growing up. My grandfather had so many great, strong, perfect-to-climb trees when I was a kid.
T used to climb a small tree in our yard, and a neighbor’s pine tree, but I don’t allow him to now, he’s too heavy and the branches are too thin. It was nice to do yesterday, kiddo really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely go back to that park.

Yes, 3 long years. Here is the latest crazy: I reported 2 of Mr. Donkey's negative Yelp reviews as violating the content guidelines and they emailed me today that they removed them. One of them is of our daughter's previous therapist, who did everything she could to help, but couldn't deal with him and his frequent accusations and blaming. So what does he do? He writes another review today! This time he lists reasons for why he doesn't recommend her that are basically lies or his skewed perspective of what actually transpired. I reported this one as well and asked if his account can be suspended. If you want to read it, here's the link: https://www.yelp.com/biz/one-heart-counseling-center-manhattan-beach (he is Chris R.)
What a hateful and self-righteous person. Good thing you wrote a counter review. That donkey is a real .

So, so close. Why????
All good now. Car is in the driveway. I sat on the deck while we ate dinner and admired it.

I have to go back to the dealer and get the plates next week, though. The car came from another dealer, and they think someone screwed something up over there.
