Probably. He was still pushing for one after I had already test drove and nixed the idea. The sales guy who sold my mom their Enclave did the test drives with me of the Encore, and he said to her that he could tell I was just doing it to please my dad and there was no way. I did my research on the Regal, and it had such a low reliability rating that I said no to it. I finally printed out a bad review and highlighted key points and left it on his desk to get him to leave me alone. My mom was against the Encore.I myself wondered if this was all about a Buick and if he would have not been so unreasonable if she had agreed to a Buick.
I also was thinking about it, and I wouldn't have been irritated if he had said, "You know what, we really need Wednesday night to figure out what we're doing out with the Bravada. Would you postpone the delivery of the Civic until Thursday, and that way I can go with you?" And I probably would have said yes.
We've had a lot of growing pains. My mom and I haven't had nearly as many. I can't speak highly enough of my mom; she's wonderful.
