Waiting at the dealership. DMV is being difficult. My dad went to walk to the Buick dealership next door to get something for the car. After he was out of sight, sales guy goes, "F__ing MVA".

All good now. Car is in the driveway. I sat on the deck while we ate dinner and admired it.

I have to go back to the dealer and get the plates next week, though. The car came from another dealer, and they think someone screwed something up over there.

@MySmallWorldof4 my cucumbers are really bubbling and the water is starting to cloud up just like the pictures. I may do a batch of celery and onions in my other croc. This is a fun and healthy science project ps much easier than I thought it would be

It's so fun to drive. Especially through windey back roads. It has a sunroof too. I missed that so much with the SUV. Little things are also nicer. Like the cupholders. I hated the cupholders in my old car. And the center console cover used to pop up at random. Not anymore. It's so nice. And it'll be paid off in three years.

It’s here. My house is divided today.
I’m an Argentina fan, but Spain is my #2.. however, I almost want Portugal to win, just for T.. He has played this match on FIFA18 several times since the World Cup edition came out. I think it’s tough for him because most of his favorite players are playing for Spain.. however, his ultimate player is playing for Portugal. He had a tough time a few months ago deciding who to cheer for and who’s jerseys he wanted.. finally said, Ronaldo is my guy, I have to stick with my guy, so I’m going with Portugal.lol

I’m recording the game..we won’t be able to watch it til tonight.

Oh wow! That would be tough to raise money without it. We have Texas Hold ‘Em tourneys, a black tie Casino Night..and raffle tickets at almost all events.
At the festival we had a really neat “Bid and Buy” booth.. we received donations from everywhere such as local restaurants/sporting events/spas/services to parishioners donating their own vacation condos or homes to be raffled for a week.. that booth is a huge money maker for us. Usually a brewery will donate beer on tap, which helps a lot with fund raising as well...the cash gambling brings in the most besides that though. The rides take such a large percentage of ride ticket sales that they’re just there for the kids and to draw people to visit.
I’m glad there isn’t a law like your’s here! Every year we do a Grand Raffle Drawing at the end of the festival with a substantial monetary prize. Tickets are sold months in advance for this, but you can buy up to 15 minutes before the raffle. I’ve never won . Someday maybe, right?

It’s a fun 3 day weekend with good live music. This was the first year that I allowed T to run around by himself.. he absolutely loved it.. I think he felt “grown up”, as did all of his friends. It’s probably the only place where I would allow him to do that... for a moment it felt like the world was the same as it was during my own childhood.

My daughter is already making plans with her friend to hang out at our local festival in a few weekends. Her friend's mom usually helps with scratch off bingo. Under 18 you can't win any of the gambling games, but they do have a wheel you can spin to win baked goods. They like the rides, the food is good. Last year, they added a booth of food from the Philippines. The tacos and agua fresca are usually my favorite. A few years back, DS was in a combo that performed on the stage.

The like is because at least you have dates. None of us can ever seem to have the same 3 days free in a row

It is hard. Thought we finally put together a few weeks to get away, but DS now has something, so trying to put together some different days so we can get away for 3 days.
