Let me know how this turns out whenever you make it. I guess I am going to have to go vegan since my bp meds aren't bringing my bp down much. Or just stop eating. Not a good dtr appt today :(

Sorry to hear that. BP can be tricky to control, but with medication (for some people--not everyone needs that), plus some diet changes, usually it can be brought under reasonable control. If you want to go vegan that's fine, but it can also be controlled with a non-vegetarian/vegan diet, and that would include lean cuts of beef, chicken and fish. It's also equally important to be sure to get in some exercise on a consistent basis.

I'll be happy to anonymously send a box of these to your boss -- think he'll get the hint?! ;):p

Hahaaa...!
4 boxes...4 bosses/partners!!! :hilarious:
I almost posted something about bringing my own crayons...! :)
Actually, we have plenty of professional markers and colored pencils at the office, but, they aren't used as much as they used to be because of the various computer tools we now have.
Plus that drawing was for the developer and builder, so all they want to see in the early stages is just massing and details.
We do a lot more color renderings early on for custom and commercial projects.
But, yes, the urge to color 'em after I draw 'em is pretty strong...!!! :hilarious: ;)

Nothing is tastier than mayo. (Although I buy a lower fat version now), my favorite mayo in the world is the original Hellmann's. :hungry::hungry::hungry: When I was a kid, my dad and I used to make mayo sammies--on white bread, and we'd sometimes sprinkle pepper on it. (I don't know if there is this brand in Guernsey, though.) :(

I agree Hellmann's is the BEST! And only the regular version. I tried the lower fat stuff but it didn't taste the same. When I was in in Hawaii (and I think in some of the Western parts of the USA) Hellmans is sold as Best Foods Mayonnaise. Simply the Best!

Update on a couple things...

I am officially done with this school year! We were supposed to have a half a day of work, however because of snow days and new laws about student hours and such, our bosses screwed up and didn't realize until today that teachers needed to put in a full day. So we were told this morning at 7:30am that we would need to stay a whole day. It was annoying.

That mom that was emailing me about her the extra credit, sent me more emails today. In the last one, I think she realized she was being a something that rhymes with "itch" and kind of rolled an apology into it without really saying she was blowing things out of proportion. Whatever, she is still on my list....:cautious:

As for the 8th grader that was in the 4 wheel accident, he is doing better and hopefully will be moved out of the ICU. He has been sleeping a lot and unable to eat or walk without wobbling. So when he can keep food down he should be moved to a regular room and hopefully go home next week. His summer is probably down the tubes though, he is a very active boy and Dr's say he will have to be fairly inactive (nothing strenuous) for awhile. He was told no baseball this summer, no football in the fall, and isn't even supposed to participate in the trap-shooting club. But the events could have been SO much worse so hopefully he can participate in those during the next season for those activities.

And the sad update, the teacher's aide 30 year son was found dead in a wooded area that was near his home. Apparently he skidded as he was driving his 4 wheeler to his home, it was probably very wet still from the storms we had, and the 4 wheeler flipped and he was pinned under it next to a tree. :(

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and thoughts.

I like Kraft.
I think they all taste exactly the same.

We'll, some good news, but that last bit was terrible. At least the school year is over.

So...my dad may be sending me to get his Orioles Hawaiian shirt after all.

They extended their trip in June. They're doing Hilton Head and are driving down to WDW for a few days. They extended it a day to see Toy Story Land. So they'll be with those marvelous opening day crowds.

Meanwhile, they had four tickets to the Sunday Orioles game, but they'll be driving home that day. So...they're probably going to trade in two of them for the Saturday game and let me take a friend on Saturday and a friend on Sunday. And not charge me for the tickets.

I'm fine with this arrangement, FYI. And I've actually never been to a game where they weren't there, so this should be fun... :D

My dad:

Him: I think you should get the Buick encore
Me: *sings Let It Go*
Him: Well, you could use our GM rewards points.
Me: Okay, well, then I'll look at the Malibu.
Him: Nah. You should stick with the same dealer.
Me: So get a Honda?
Him: No, get a Buick
Me: I'm not getting a Buick. So which is it: GM car or same dealer?
Him: *shrugs*

He's so helpful.

Same for us in Little League. We had to bring a mitt, and that was it. Of course we bought a cheap bat from play it again sports so we could practice at home, but it wasn't mandatory. The parents were all responsible to volunteer as umpires, take turns bringing snacks, and work in the snack shack. But we only paid like $35 per kid for the season. This was back in the late 80's, early 90's

Yep, all sounds very familiar.
The "Snack Shack" gave me a good flashback chuckle :hilarious:, as we had one at our "stadium" when we made it to the majors! :)
In the minors, C league, and t-ball they played on fields at local schools or parks with just existing backstops, plus pitching rubbers, bases, and outfield flags that had to installed/ put up for the games. Parents/fans brought lawn chairs or blankets to sit in/on. And yes, the parents took turns bringing snacks to the games.
Our "stadium" in the majors was actually pretty cool...
Covered dugouts (although, not actually "dug out" ;)), bleachers for the parents/fans, a surrounding chain link fence, about a 4 ft. high green wood outfield wall. The back of the Snack Shack was behind home plate, and there was an enclosed announcers/scorekeepers box above that.
It was all so cool and fun...good times...!!!!!!! :joyfull::happy::)

Like I said in the other thread, see if they'll check your thyroid. It can't hurt, and I could be totally off base here, not being a doctor,, but...that's what happened to me. Blood pressure was high for no reason (it shouldn't be high, I'm 23), checked the thyroid, thyroid was low, blood pressure went down after we treated the thyroid

It's also tricky because you can have thyroid problems with no symptoms, so it gets missed. I felt like I had more energy after going on medication, but I didn't notice a real difference before going on it, like there was anything wrong. Now we just check it anually. Or when my blood pressure goes up. Whichever comes first.
