@SteveBrickNJ , just wanted to mention that even if you are the best planner, and get all the fastpasses to your favorite attractions, be prepared that "sometimes" certain rides can break down. I know you're aware that this can happen, but just a reminder. If your group can adopt a "go with the flow" attitude, all will be happy, no matter what change in plans might arise. (They'll generally give you a fastpass for anything else that day, if that happens.)

I was there last week for about 4 1/2 days, and 2 rides were down at EPCOT (Test Track and Spaceship Earth both were down for part of one day). Over at AK, Expedition Everest was down for a morning. Luckily, the 2nd time (another day) that I went to AK again, it was back up.
EE was down last Monday for the whole morning when we were there. When we went back to watch ROL on another night, we got to ride it.

Good advice. Thanks :)

21033C71-479A-4040-BFD7-90C0AEF7A102.jpegWe went to DS in the afternoon and were requested to hit the Lego Store. Ds had been eyeing this for awhile. He knew it was just officially released but you could only purchase it then if you were a VIP member, which we were. But for $360 it was a no. We did get him this diner though. He didn’t ask for anything on this trip and we realized that this had been our least expensive trip with the 6 of us. We still had a lot of Disney Gift card money left and used it for the Diner. The dining plan would have cost more than twice what we spent on food. Definitely worth buying the gift cards at Target.

I don't think you'd want to leave her alone in the house, because it might turn into a scene out of Toddlers Gone Wild. :jawdrop: Once she wakes up on her own, (and finds no one is around), she might head directly for the liquor cabinet and chug down a few shots of tequila, before you return back with the dog! :joyfull:

Any other questions about parenting? Ask my advice anytime. :p (Disclaimer: I have no kids. :hilarious: )
You're confusing what happens when a toddler wakes up and there's no one home with what happens when I wake up and there's no one home...:cautious:

My daughter has been on a magazine cover. Congrats to your daughter! That's awesome!

Many years ago, back in pre-k, Our DS was once the one and only featured photo on the cover of a local newspaper...the article was about a local traveling petting zoo that came to his school and the pic was a closeup of him on the ground with a huge smile on his face petting one of those miniature pot-bellied pigs...!!!!! :joyfull::happy:;):)

This topic reminded me of a childhood incident that I had at a very early age. It was at least two years before I ever started school so I'd have to guess around 4 years old. I remember it vividly, but, not for the reasons one would think. My mother was a very insecure person and she was sure that no one would care if she was even missing. With that thought in mind one day she decided that she wanted to see how I would react if she just disappeared. She wasn't very far away, in fact she was hiding in the closet, but she wanted to see if I would panic. To give you some idea about how I am who I am, I remember getting up after a nap and looking for my mother. I never panicked that she was gone very far so I sat on a high stool and just watched out the window waiting for her to come home.

She was not mad, but, upset about the fact that not only did I not panic, I was sitting there singing and swinging my feet in a very casual manner. I really do remember how I was feeling and what I was thinking. I did wonder where she was and how long it might be before she returned, but, I wasn't at all upset. Time really meant nothing to me as I couldn't even tell time at that point. She mentioned that situation many times in my youth. I guess it was an early start on my path to independence, but, I wasn't scared about it at all, just curious about where she was. That little experiment sort of backfired on her. She never tried it again.

That story is true and I'm afraid that it didn't paint a very positive picture of her, but, rest assured she was always loving and caring to both myself and my sister (even though I didn't consider my sister to be a necessity) and my Father. To her nothing was better, more talented or smarter then her family, not herself, but, she was sure proud of the rest of us. She never had a good reason to feel that way about herself, she was a wonderful person and a great mother.
