So sorry. We actually haven’t had rain since we returned, but sil said it rained a ton when we sere gone. The grass is growing way too fast.
Since we got back, we have had almost 15 inches of rain!! The local radio station said it is a record for May. Everything stays damp and won’t dry out. I am changing towels daily which I never do.

I wish we could have some more here, because it did cool things down last night, but then got hot again today. I probably shoudln't wish for that though...some areas over here flooded badly and had a lot of damage. Trees uprooted, there was a woman stuck on TOP of her car for hours because she apparently drove down into a viaduct to avoid the rain or something...her car got stuck and she had to climb out and sit on top of her car. One guy's car was under a big tree, completely smashed. We didn't seem to get any of the really bad stuff.

With all this much rain, it cools down but stays muggy at the same time. I would rather see sun.
Oh that’s bad. We have had several mudslides around our area. Two deaths by a falling tree on a vehicle.

Hope you don’t get this much. Thanks -will do. DH has worked outages all day. Some lines are being taken out by trees washing away and knocking the poles down. Going to be a long couple of days.
THNX we're far enough north and east it will just be some needed rain. Hope your dh gets safely home soon xoxo Coco is on Netflix if you need a movie to keep you busy

Don't know if anyone answered this, but AK was open at 8am for EMH every weekday of our trip last week. It may be a temporary thing for the summer crowds? All parks open at 9 every day. HS was definitely the quietest crowdwise when we went, and Epcot was second. MK early was quiet as well. I even commented that it was quiet like it was in the early 2 thousands after 9/11. We actually had elbow room. MK always seems to get crowded by 11-12. Early on it is not too bad.

Yah, two of the days I was down there I took advantage of the EMH for AK. That way, I could do FOP one morning (and then do Kilimanjaro Safaris and other stuff after that). The other EMH day I went on the Na'vi River cruise, and followed up with other fun stuff (like Everest!! ) on another morning.

Hypothetical question..... you have a second floor apartment. It's 5:30 on a school morning and your preschool aged kid is still asleep. You've packed all your work things and their school things and are otherwise ready to go. You need to take all the things to the car, and take the dogs out on a leash to go to the bathroom, which would all be easier and less time consuming if you did them before waking the kid up.

Would you walk the dogs down to use the restroom and put the bags in the car while the kid is still sleeping? Or would you wait for the kid to be awake so they wouldn't be alone in the house?

I don't think you'd want to leave her alone in the house, because it might turn into a scene out of Toddlers Gone Wild. :jawdrop: Once she wakes up on her own, (and finds no one is around), she might head directly for the liquor cabinet and chug down a few shots of tequila, before you return back with the dog! :joyfull:

Any other questions about parenting? Ask my advice anytime. :p (Disclaimer: I have no kids. :hilarious: )

@SteveBrickNJ , just wanted to mention that even if you are the best planner, and get all the fastpasses to your favorite attractions, be prepared that "sometimes" certain rides can break down. I know you're aware that this can happen, but just a reminder. If your group can adopt a "go with the flow" attitude, all will be happy, no matter what change in plans might arise. (They'll generally give you a fastpass for anything else that day, if that happens.)

I was there last week for about 4 1/2 days, and 2 rides were down at EPCOT (Test Track and Spaceship Earth both were down for part of one day). Over at AK, Expedition Everest was down for a morning. Luckily, the 2nd time (another day) that I went to AK again, it was back up.
