I need a nap. We didn't get home from the LAST mandatory function of the year until close to midnight and I had to be up and out to get everything for the BBQ tomorrow. BBQ and clean up tomorrow before a work function for my dh Monday. Sleep Tuesday:brb::banghead:

Rant away that stinks!

I feel like (my own) GenX along with GenY are ruining our youth.

They already have too many electronics.. they already have more separation from their classmates than we ever had..youth competitive sports have seen more professionalization, General ridiculousness, and outrageous demands....too many kids focusing/being demanded to commit to one sport only...
Now “we” want to ruin school sports as well, separate them from their friends and classmates?

I can’t sit by and watch it happen.

@ajrwdwgirl , here are a few pictures for you! (First one is for Brad--guess who these guys are?!) :p

Here's a few photos of the SWAN, since you've also stayed there. :)

#1 - lobby fountains

Early morning (when I swam) lap pool at the (Swan) was empty--only me! Did they have the 4 cabanas when you were there? First I've seen of the cabanas--think this may be new. Thank goodness, just on one side only.

#4 Lap pool (non-cabana view) -- (Oh, they're redoing the pool bar behind the brown partitions, fyi.)

@Gabe1 , at Wolfgang Puck's Express (Marketplace). You and I have both had the chicken there over the years. This time I tried the bacon wrapped meatloaf, with mashed herb potatoes and onion rings.

YUM CITY!!!! :hungry: :hungry: :hungry: I wished I had not been so eager to dive into it, (cavewoman style . . . :hilarious: ) but that bacon and beef were calling my name. So I only got a photo of it after I had already eaten about half of it.

@93boomer and @dryerlintfan , here is the redesigned front of World of Disney (Disney Marketplace). I saw some children staring in awe of the Cinderella coach on top of the sign (the older top, before redesign, was Stitch, correct?).

Anyway, I thought about people here with children when I took this picture. (And, @dryerlintfan , there are more princess dresses in there than you can shake a stick at!! "A" would love this place!! :joyfull: )

We left MK parking lot at 10:50am yesterday and with 2 gas stops made it home at 1:15am. No real holdups amazingly considering it was the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. No traffic in VA either. So we had a good ride going down, and coming back. A great trip overall. Yesterday we did EMH and first did SM, then MAWP, walked to BTMR. Then we used our FP for 7DMT. Got the kids some pretzels and popcorn to tide them over and sadly said “See you real soon.” It definitely was busier yesterday then any of the previous days. The parks didn’t seem to get crowded until closer to noon from Sunday through Thursday. We drove around in the golf cart around the campground and there were total empty loops. By Thursday night though, they were full again. I am thinking the week before Memorial Day may just be a good week to go crowd-wise.

Beautiful! Brad loved seeing the Dapper Dans and was pleased you thought to include him on the picture list. The fountain was one thing I really liked about the Swan to me it was beauty and whimsy. The pool at the Swan looks lovely. I don't know if the cabanas were there when we stayed, we walked by that pool briefly on our way to the Grotto pool. It must have been lovely to have the pool to yourself, maybe we should take our pool breaks in the morning.

I'm glad you made it home safe and it sounds like you have a lovely time! So happy for you.:)
