That's one of our favorites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were going to go down and see it but we had a music thing last night:):banghead::inlove: you know the drill. The plan was to crash at one of my friend's house and bike over to see it. Yup I have a friend who bought a house to watch the planes go in and out everyday:hilarious: Long story short one year we got to fly onto the base for it:inlove:
The show is happening again tomorrow :)

I've always wanted to get married in Vegas with Elvis. I think it sounds like so much fun. Unfortunately, my hubby thought it was too "trashy" so that was vetoed.

My next youngest bro got married in Vegas.
Not at an Elvis chapel, but, at a small chapel on the strip. The only people in attendance were my folks, her folks, and their two best friends as witnesses.
The next weekend they had a large reception at a local country club.
Different strokes...!!! :)

@MOXOMUMD , I was stunned reading your explanation of the whole medical experience. A few of those issues in the hospital should never have happened.

Then the fiasco of your front steps at home . . . I'm almost speechless about the entire ordeal you went through over the past few days.

I'm hoping that something positive comes out of all this for you. Feel better soon.

Where's mine? :p :hilarious:

(By the way, I love his t-shirt.)

Today was a good day for me and hubs. We went to a nice restaurant that we go to on special occasions. So we had some delicious dinners (he had a homemade ravioli/veggie dish, and I had fresh swordfish kabobs with veggies and rice). For dessert, he had cheesecake and I had creme brulee. :hungry:

@SteveBrickNJ , really liking your air show photos. I haven't been to one in years. They're very exciting. Seen some of the bigger names (Blue Angels, and Thunderbirds), but I also really like all the other aircraft, including the smaller, aerobatic ones.

Couldn't really tell from your photos--did they also have any static displays? I like strolling around displays, chatting with both military and non-military people at these shows, too.

Forgot to mention the funny thing that happened in hospital. I'm laying in the waiting area and the doc came in to talk a man on other side of curtained divider. The conversation went like this...

Doc--Just empty your pockets so you don't roll over on your keys or phone.

Silence and rustling....

Doc--Is that a bong? Are you high? :cyclops:

Man patient--Yes, I didn't want to feel anything.

Doc--I won't alert hospital security but don't ever bring that here again!

Then they took him for his cortisone shot.

Speaking of Ohio.. who are the Northern Ohio peeps here?
Anyone know when schools go back in the Cleveland/Sandusky/other northern part areas?

I have to change our Cedar Point reservations.. apparently we have a Cub Scout Cub World camping weekend on those same dates.
The dates differ from the 3rd week of August (like us) to right after Labor Day.

A very nice volunteer (she reminded me of Doris Day) and the valet parker got me into the car. I got really lightheaded (and my mother is known to jam on the brakes :in pain:) so we got lunch at McD's. The doc said extra caffeine for a few days would help so I had a large Dr. Pepper. (Not remembering I had to pee!) We had a torrential downpour while eating in the car so we had to wait it out, couldn't see to drive. But wait, it gets better.

We got to my house and my legs felt like a ton but I knew if I got in the house I could just lay down! My porch was extremely slippery and I got up two steps and couldn't get a grip on the bannister, stuck in between two steps! My mom "tried" to help lift my foot up (as I'm screaming I'm going to fall!!!) and she shoved me forward on my injection sight instead and I did a belly flop on my porch! :bawling::bawling::bawling: But wait, it gets better!

My neighbor who happened to be in her yard came sprinting down the street to help me. With the torn hip muscle and my legs like jelly and in EXTREME pain I couldn't stand up. My neighbor called an ambulance and stayed until they got there. My mom was just in a shock. The nice EMTs got me standing and into the house. They asked if I needed to go to the hospital and I said no I just left there! They took my vitals 160/98, well with all that happened did you think it would be perfect? They said my bandages we're good and left. But wait, it gets funny.

I'm soaked from laying on the porch so my mom got me clean clothes to change. She put the wet ones in the washer and asked how I could be so drenched! Then I laughed and laughed through the tears. While freaking out about everything and not being able to get up I remembered (subconsciously) I had to pee.:oops:

Yesterday I slept most of the day and the doc said do nothing, and I did. The iodine wash has given me a rash so I'm so happy I can shower later! My best friend gave me a shower seat so I plan on just sitting under the water and napping. So that's been my adventures the past few days. Oh, and Star Wars, lots of Star Wars. :cat:
Oh my goodness. A million sympathy likes. All I had to contend with today was Virginia traffic. Your day cannot be outdone ever. I pray you never have a day like this again.
