Oh my gosh! That’s hilarious and horrible!
Although I will say that cortisone shots hurt like bloody heck. I had one in my wrist a few month ago. OUCH. I’m still putting off surgery and just putting up with pain and shots until I actually find the time to schedule it/deal with it. The stupid thing is already torn, so it can’t get any worse.

A few years ago I had one in my shoulder, and I barely felt the needle at all. My guess is that there's probably a lot more "cushion" in the shoulder area with thicker muscles, versus getting the shot in your wrist. Hope you don't need surgery and it can somehow mend itself on its own.

A shot in your wrist is not pretty. I had to have it because the doctor wanted to see if he could put it back into place but he couldn't. Needed surgery for hopefully the 3rd and last time I broke the same wrist.

You are WEIRD. ;)

It’s my TFCC, I tore it last summer when I gracefully (heavy sarcasm) wiped out on my bike. I didn’t want to deal with surgery during the summer months, then didn’t have time in Fall, or Winter..or now Spring.
It’s not a pressing surgery, eventually I’ll get to it.

Ouch! I hope that 3rd surgery correct it!

Ok, we’re off to soccer now. We should have exactly 45 minutes to get ready after returning from the game.

I finished the cross cupcake cake about an hour ago. Frosting was a little too soft, didn’t come out exactly as planned. Almost ran out of frosting and had to do tiny stars instead of the swirl-ish star I had planned.

Oh well, hasn’t been a great month for cake decorating apparently. I just hope likes it. It’s (almost) exactly what he requested, down to the gold foil. I wanted to do silver, he needed the cake board to match a chalice. It’s his day. :)

Rainy morning in VA Beach.

I can't remember what year it was, but, it was in the 80's. We went to Virginia Beach for a vacation. When we got there we saw two things. The first was that there was hardly any beach there. It was shortly after a hurricane went through (again I don't remember which one) and the action of the water washed all the sand out to sea.

The second thing we saw were some giant pipes going from the beach out to the water and I assume ending at a ship out on the horizon. Visible, but, very small looking. What it was doing was vacuuming up sand from the ocean bottom and pumping it to the beach slowly building the beach back up to the size it should be. It was fascinating to watch. The sand, out of the sunlight, deep in the ocean was black when it hit the land, but, within two days, I'm guessing, the sun bleached out whatever was covering the sand and it became, for lack of a better thing to call it, beach color. I cannot imagine how much that must have cost to rebuild that beach. I sometimes wonder if any subsequent storms have made them start over?

I have not been to a Dairy Queen in years! This is going to make me go sometime soon.
The peanut butter parfaits looks and sound delicious!
I can't even remember the last time I was at a DQ. We had one within walking distance of my school and only went there a couple of times. Applegate in Montclair was a slightly different story:angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic: @MySmallWorldof4 did you ever get to go when you were in that area?
