Not sure when I might make it back to either WDW or Disneyland for a vacation, but I try and keep up on the latest news. Prices keep going up, and that's part of the reason I wonder. I have never been a fan of the Dining Plan. I used it once, and that was only because my traveling companion was keen on it. That was back in 2007, and it offered a whole lot more. We did a lot of character dining on our Christmas trip. I always do my homework on all the available discounts, and "free" dining has always cost more. Besides, having to add a park hopper ticket ups the cost, and one does not always want to park hop. I have slowed down a lot as I get older, and one park a day is sufficient. There's a lot of new stuff coming up, so maybe I can save up enough by 2009 to plan another trip somewhere. Each destination has new things, although WDW seems to have more things I have not experienced. Time will tell. In the meantime, I love reading about other's experiences, and thoughts on the parks.

I left work on Thursday to go watch T play baseball.. I’m crazy busy right now at work, but one of the coaches told me he was pitching. For those who aren’t aware there’s a “5 day rest” rule for pitchers.

So, I rush to the game.. and apparently they decided to save T and another boy until today’s game, because the Thursday opponent did not have strong pitchers. (We batted first).

Now there is no possible way that I can leave today to go see him when he does actually pitch. He had asked me this morning when I dropped him off to my parents, and just called me again asking if I could make it.
I told him that my mom will record every second of his playing time for me.
Ugh. I hate these days!!!

Hope a plan is in process to fix this so it stays fixed, and never bothers you again.

Thanks! They're trying to cover all bases of what happened so I'm scheduled for a lumbar puncture on Thursday. It's been a whirlwind of the past few weeks. At least there's 3 1/2 weeks of school left so I don't have to worry about that.

Speaking of shoes. My grandson's cousin, who lives in our basement, has a love affair with fancy sneakers. he has almost a dozen different pairs lined up on the top of the entertainment center. He whined a lot when the gas men left after doing needed work in our basement. "Now my shoes are all dusty", he cried.

My God, what the hell has happened to this country that one cannot use words that aren't intently twisted around someone agenda and made to sound evil. I realize that the country is in that state right now, but, I don't understand why I cannot make a simple statement that has no actual endorsement and all of a sudden be the evil, You support creepy people. I am sorry that I used the wrong words and sorry that people couldn't read the rest of what I said and have been able to determine what I meant. So... I'm off this topic. Put whatever information you want on the internet, and demand that the creepy people all just, by god, straighten up or else we will put more information on line.

If you think for one minute that I think it is OK for jacka$$es to do that kind of thing then apparently I have been sending some, unknown to me, hidden creepy agenda that I must support. I'm out of this. Think the worst of me if you wish, but, I can assure you that none of you have ever heard from me in anyway but respectfully. I only wish I could get some of that back.

Amen brother! Always respect your elders. Funny how some will condemn posters for reading way too much into a post then be hypocritical by doing it themselves. I've only known you to be respectful of women. Even Cananadian ones,

This reminds me of when my brothers used to put together plastic models of ships. They'd spend hours with those kits, and then display the ships on shelves in their room. They also put together model airplanes and rockets.

In my much younger days I made a model of Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.

That's too bad that you can't make it but at least he will have your parents there to record it for you.

Apparently our school does a “Wax Museum” project in 3rd Grade.. I just saw it on their FB page. It’s so cute!! One of the kids was Walt Disney.

Our school does too in 4th grade but it has to be a Native Ohioan. My daughter was First Lady Ida McKinley and her best friend was Doris Day. Our neighbor boy was Marilyn Manson.

So this morning's crazy news is that Houston police caught some guy on the roof of St. Martin's Episcopal Church (the church for Barbara Bush's funeral). A church employee just happened to see someone up on the roof so called police. When the police caught the guy, he said he was just "exploring" . . . (on a church roof . . . after midnight . . .).

Ugh. Strange world we live in.
