I have to say, that even though I do have a princess, we never got to do any of these. @dryerlintfan 's A was afraid of dark rides. Mine was afraid of all of the characters. All of them. I was kind of prepared. Her brother was the same way. And it went far beyond Disney. Not a single picture of either of my kids with Santa.
Sympathy like. None of my kids had issues with the characters or Santa. :)

Oh my, I can't believe I keep forgetting to post this...!!!!!
We never took down our front door Christmas wreath, and then when we went to, it was too late...a finch had chose to build her nest there! We have been sooo careful with the opening and closing of the front door lately...!!! :hilarious::inlove:
They have since hatched (although this pic is about 1.5 weeks old, and they have grown much bigger, although not quite ready to leave the nest), and this whole thing has me... :inlove:, and there are 5 of them in the nest...!!! :inlove:
Yea, ultimately, I'm a bit of a softie, I guess... :cyclops:

Someone once told me that in the spring the birds eat the berries that are still on the bushes. They have been out there all winter and have fermented, so basically the birds are drunk. Apparently, they never read the signs condemning drinking and flying. I always wondered about why birds tended to run into windows and directly into cars in the spring and of all the reasons I have heard that one made the most sense, so, I'm sticking with it.
When the robins came back, they ate all our holly berries. Drunk robins, huh. Never thought of that one. :hilarious:

Well that mom sure found a safe spot to nest. Nice that you left it. I wonder what they think though when suddenly their nest moves at least 60 degrees one way and back. :hilarious:

We're in New Orleans. We've only been out for dinner and night time festivities so far because we arrived just before dinner yesterday. The food is amazing, though!!

Camera test shot in our house...
DSC00142.JPG

Lots of kids all over playing bucket drums. None had a hat out or anything for money so i think they were just having fun?
DSC00148.JPG

Shrimp po'boy with fried broccoli and cheese bites that were so good it was a spiritual experience :hilarious::hilarious:DSC00175.JPG
We were hungry when we finally sat down for food so we ordered nachos tooDSC00180.JPG

This is a no light/low light shot. It's too grainy to blow up for a poster or anything, but i thought it turned out pretty good, consideringDSC00211.JPG
Square donuts :hilarious::hilarious: this one could use some photo processing to lighten it up, thoughDSC00234.JPG

These things are MESSY to eat!! DSC00239.JPG

And of course, dacqueri tongues, lol

@21stamps I've seen a lot of kids here T's age and they appear to be having fun, but because we've only gone out at night so far we've only seen a bunch of drunk people in a party city. Not exactly a family environment. But there are a lot of family activities you can sign up for like swamp boats. I'll keep an eye out today in the sunshine, but I probably wouldn't bring my kid to the French Quarter at night until she's drinking age :hilarious::hilarious:
