My first car was a '71 Cutlass with a Rocket 350 (5.7 liter) V-8. Although, it only had the 2 bbl carburetor, it was still plenty quick enough.
My folks bought a brand new 4-door, '86 Olds Delta 88. That thing had a 3.8 liter V-6 in it, and it flat out flew off the line. Quite the surprise, especially at that time. Pop had to take it in for work at one point and the mechanic looked the motor up in the book. Turns out it was a rare high output motor...!!! :joyfull:
Folks gave it to us at one point and I drove it for about a year before I sold it.
Had a LOT of fun takin' people out of lights (occasionally, and with just me in the car) who were drivin' what should have been much quicker cars...! :)
Too funny! Mine was a 69 Cutlass, 350 4 barrel, black, 2 door, bucket seats. Ran like a scared jack rabbit!! :)

Did you not click the link?
It is primarily a short and long term care facility for seniors and vets?

I think you tick both of those boxes ....
Vets? In Canada? What did they do, round up that guy that rowed the fleet (boat) in the Canadian Navy? Just kidding... I couldn't pass up the opportunity!

I didn't dare to click on it. Just the building design along caused me to have the vapors. ;)

I got another lunch reservation for three people at Be Our Guest so we actually get to eat together!

That is so nice! That's one restaurant I would love to see (I don't eat at the higher end restaurants at Disney, as I'm on a very tight budget when I travel). From the few pictures I've seen of it inside, it looks absolutely lovely. I've also heard that the food is really very good. Enjoy!

Ended up coming home thanks to the migraine. Couldn't even keep breakfast down. I was supposed to have a presentation in Spanish today, and I called the professor, and she's letting me do it another day. It won't affect my grade. i guess I must look pretty bad because my professor for my first class looked at me and said, "Are you okay?" And I told her I had a migraine and was going home. This professor, who is super strict about attendance, said, "Yes, go home. Be careful driving." I figure when I professor tells me to go home, I must look like I need to.

Really sorry that you go through migraines from time to time. I hope you're feeling a little better now.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Thankfully my bed is for short people. ;)
Without pulling out the measuring tape, my memory says the mattress is 22" thick, as is the boxspring.
Add another 4" or so that the frame is off the ground, and we're pretty close to 4' high.

One of these days, I'll get around to buying the lower profile boxspring, which will lower the height 10" or so.
It didn't seem so high in the store! ;)

Question.

Company (contractor for the military) in the middle of January interviewed me on the phone (those typical 15 minutes phone interviews). Today background/security check from the military cleared. Should I be worried about getting a job with no in person interview?

Companies been around since 83.

That's a tough question. I guess you could weigh out all the variables and if the pros outweigh the cons, then go for it. If you're not sure you want it, or if your sixth sense is telling you something, then listen to that little voice inside you. From my own experience, something either "feels" right or "feels" wrong. As a side note: have you looked on the internet to see if there are any employees from that company, that might post any information (climate/culture of that company)? Sometimes you can glean a bit of insight from off-company, discussion web sites. Good luck with whatever solutions seem to be best for you.

I've had 2 cars in my life, and I didn't get either one of them until well into adulthood: 1997 Ford Escort, and it had a 4 cylinder engine; and a 2007 Chevy Aveo (current car) with a 4 cylinder engine. The fastest I ever drove was 70 mph, and that was only because I was passing another car once on the highway. So, I'm not really a speed demon. Little cars are nice for me. :)
