Oh dear! Take care of that boo boo!!! (Hope you had some aspirin in the house to reduce inflammation, in the interim, before seeing the doctor.)

Not sure if putting it off for 2 days is o.k. though--I know you're busy at work, but could you maybe add some time at the end of today to catch up, and go to the dr. before work this morning? I don't know much about finger injuries, but if you needed it set (if it was broken), getting it done sooner may be better than trying to get it done later on--which may or may not have the same result. Hope it's not too bad of an injury.

Thanks, Minnie!
I've now got it in a splint and there really is no pain now...other than if I tried to bend it up too far when it wasn't in the splint...!!! :hilarious:
No doc for now, as they probably would have just done the same thing. For now, I'm gonna' go with the top of the joint is just swollen and that's what's pushing the end down... :cyclops:
It is on my picking had when I play guitar, but, I really don't use my pinkey much at all anyway.

Thanks again, Minnie...!!!

Here's a link to Web MD -- about possible broken or dislocated fingers -- diagnosis and treatment, etc. Maybe something here might be helpful. At least the pain has subsided.

Might there have been some rust and corrosion in the screws, or whatever fasteners were used that attached the bumper to the car?
That's what we're thinking. My car is parked front end in towards grass, no curb. No way I was hit or I hit a curb or anything. I think it must've come loose as I was driving home because I would have noticed walking up to it, but didn't look at it after driving home.

Sounds like it is time to take some test drives.
Well, I'm supposed to have a couple during my lunch break tomorrow. Ironically.

Just can't pull the trigger until I know for sure what's going on with work. My supervisor and boss both want to convert me to an employee of the company (currently I'm on a contract) so it's working with the powers that be on that. Namely HR. Met with HR today though, and it went well.
