I saw that and 5 day 3 park to park tickets are 304 there. Priced Disney cheapest place dh will stay at 155 per night and 363 for base tickets for and 436 for hoppers OUCH

If Universal continues to build resorts like Adventura, Disney is in trouble down the road.

I was off when I said the Deluxe rooms at Adventura will be as big as GF. They are a little smaller than Contemporary. But under $200 a night. The kids' suite is under $300 a night. With several restaurants and 3 bars, including a roof top bar.

Like I said previously, this ain't no Value hotel.

If I were Disney, I'd look at those Uni hotels. Keurigs in all but Cabana Bay. Premium bedding in the top three - and I mean pillow top mattresses. I miss the old decor of Royal Pacific. But what you get in that room for that price....

And Uni's concierge club food beats what we had at GF. Other than the alcohol.

Uni may not be much competition right now with parks, but they are fast catching up or exceeding with hotels, especially the new ones.

Adventura is running an opening month special 102 per night plus 100 hotel dining credit for stays 4 nights and over. Seriously thinking about booking M-F. Flying out 6 am M and flying home 10 pm F. My dh also gets 2 free checked bags any airline any flight so packing snack and adult beverages with room for a few things purchased for the boys won't be a problem

Disney has the population captive and they know it. Thats why they will continue to abuse the prices until noone can take it then offer "discounts". Which is pretty much what they have been doing since Iger.

Like I said, Disney may have problems down the road if Uni keeps this up. If it weren't such a pain to visit between the two, I'd stay at Uni to visit Disney....

Seems like a huge upgrade to a tent. Considering all the things that it allows.
And the "arming" seems pretty simple, having Ac..etc..

I'm not a fan of having to set down a tent with pikes, poles..etc.. :hilarious:

From what I am reading, you still have to do some setup things, like chock the wheels and put some wind resistance in place and put a tub thing for the gray water. And most awning setups are still going to have the guy lines as well.

But if you arrive in inclement weather, you really don't *have* to do any of that until there's a break in the storm. Plus you don't actually have to detach the thing from the tow vehicle, which means you could set up camp in three minutes, sleep overnight, then pack it down in three minutes and be on the road again. Which is going to be fantastic if we drive this thing to Disney.

And that camper can be used elsewhere too, not just disney.

For someone like me, id love to have something a bit bigger with toilet and shower to move around the country easily :D

They have bigger models with showers and toilets and bigger beds and bigger fridges. We're limited by what our vehicle can tow, though, and we really don't need all that for the style of camping we do. But they do make much larger A frames. And of course, canvas popups are much bigger as well.

Why she didnt like the sit down dinners? the variety or the hassle to check every menu every day?
It was the lack of variety on the sit down menus. He also didn't like that you had to eat at a specific time. It was too structured in that regards I guess. I don't know why they don't keep the counter services eateries where they serve sandwiches and such near the pools open later. By the way thanks for mentioning that you may have to pay extra for even sodas on RCL. Does that include food areas which are not the main restaurants? Do you have to pay extra for snacks like ice cream?

Another reason to cruise Disney.... Pool deck counter service for pizza, sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs. And Cabanas for buffet breakfast & lunch. Not sure about dinner, we always did our restaurants, unless we ate at one of the adults only.

I am currently chaperoning our middle school students on a snow tubing trip. It has been a lot of fun. I had some good runs on the tube and only got run over once. I was told by a student that I yotoally made her day because I helped her figure out the tow rope and then she beat me in the face down the hill!

This kind of activity makes me like winter just a little bit.

These are the starter hills I never made it to the big hills.IMG_1242.JPG
