I dont think has to do with cruise policy for entering or exiting. But for proof if something goes wrong in your ports of call. As an ID if something goes bad like health issue and you cant get back to the ship. They technically have your info and your photo on the ships's system.

So smart on using the passport. Less hassle and less fuss everywhere, including worldwide issues.

Thanks!
But, truthfully, we didn't really know that. We could have taken both off the ship, but, we figured it was wisest to leave one form of ID or the other in the cabin safe. DWifey just wanted us to get our passports stamped, which never happened... :cyclops:

As far as oldest DD and SonIL go, she is still Catholic and he is Church of Christ. They go back and forth, and haven't started a family yet.

Their wedding wasn't inexpensive, but, again, it wasn't crazy (by today's standards, anyway :cyclops:) either. Some of the costs were also spread out, but, DWifey and I payed for most all of it (thankfully, I had been back at the firm for more than a year by then).
They invited about 125-ish, and about 100-ish showed up...!

Their ceremony was held outside at a local venue near the lake. DD wore a white dress, carried a bouquet, and wore (although, not over her face) a veil. Things she wanted in her wedding. Again, like her mother, no "owned" shrinking violet (as are both of our DDs ).
Everything about their wedding and reception was beautiful and awesome, and it was an amazing day...!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull::happy:

Some pics for grins...!

And, their engagement pic that I cropped 'cause both of their first and last pre-married names are to the right. :cyclops:
Yes, she took his last name, and DWifey took mine. Again, both ladies choices...

Well, its better safe than sorry.. Me for example.. I am paranoic.
We always get not only our passport, but also have a copy (scanned) of both my VISA and Passport in case the first gets lost.

I used to watch a show called Bridezillas, which was an amazing reality show about women going absolutely crazy planning their weddings. They were terrible. One thing they had in common though was that they OBSESSED over the chairs. What chairs would look the best and classiest at their wedding. I've gone to a LOT of weddings, but I cannot for the life of me remember what the chairs looked like at any of them. All the guests care about are three things: 1) does the couple look happy/ in love; 2) is the food good; 3) did they have fun.

That's it, though. Everything else just doesn't matter.

Sorry, I must disagree...
Booze first, food second.
Wait...what were the other choices again...? :cyclops:

We always took our passports in case something happened while on our shore excursion. Reminds me of those videos of people being left behind because they weren't back to the ship on time after being warned multiple times the ship will leave without you.

Our one time of being backed up boarding was the first day due to people having bought a lot of dutyfree alcohol not realizing it all gets taken and you'll get it your last evening of the cruise. Funny on that though. I forgot I bought a bottle of El Presidente for my ex in the Dominican Republic. It went through the x-ray machine and the crew working didn't say anything. It wasn't until we got back to our room I remembered it. Oops. It went right into my suitcase.

Thank you! 😀
Indeed! We had 2 kegs of Shiner Premium and 2 kegs of Shiner Bock at our reception, and DD and SonIL had a keg of Shock Top and a keg of Shiner Bock...!!! :hungry:

Have you tried the Shiner Holiday Cheer beer? Our grocery store had it this holiday season and it is lovely. I love the brew blend with the peaches and pecans. I have a few more bottles and I'm rationing them. :hungry:

We can get our cars washed at Sheetz for less than $10. I love the yummy smelling foamy soap too @ajrwdwgirl .:)

I actually went for the $7 wash this morning because I didn't have $10 which is the top price wash. I forget all of what the $10 wash includes but the $7 still got me the clear coat sealant. There is a $5 wash too that is just a basic wash.
