The engine.

It's not that it can't be repaired, it would just be an expensive repair.

Between the wobbly mirror that my parents were afraid would fall off when I was driving, the oil leak, the bad sensor that told you "Low Engine Coolant" when there really was none, the leaky sun roof, the broken heated seat, the dents, the corrosion on the tire rim, and the new set of tires that the car will need in six months, it needs a lot of work to get it in working order. The value of the car was only about $1000. Not worth it for us.

I just hope that the car gets auctioned off to someone who collects cars and repairs them, and that someone will take care of it and love it as much as I did.

Hahaaa...!
Yep, I assumed you meant the engine, and I'd just never heard of an oil leak that couldn't be repaired. Unless, the block, or a head was cracked, and those are usually heavy/catastrophic type leaks (that come with many other issues), so you wouldn't be drivin' the car with that kind of leak.
Anyway, my next statement (like yours :)) was goin' to be about the repair bein' cost prohibitive, or just not worth it, in the case of an older vehicle.
Example, the cost for a rear main seal is about $30-$60, while the labor runs about $650-$850.

Gotcha. It's a drag to have to drive to public transportation; at least I can walk, even if one part of my journey is a long walk, but I gotta do what I gotta do to get to work. A number of people where I work actually do drive to train stations (one drives down from southern New Hampshire) and park at the station, and take the train into the city. It's because it's much cheaper to park at those stations (even with the added expense of the train fare), compared to the insanely high parking prices in the city.
I have a friend who walks everywhere. She loves it. She also has a car that she needs to get to work and to her school-related off campus stuff (she's a nursing major), but she lives within walking distance of her school (the school where I take Spanish). It would actually take her longer to drive, park her car, and walk to whatever building than it would take her to drive it. She loves walking everywhere, and she's in awesome shape.

I live out so far away from everything. I could maybe walk to the pharmacy and the grocery store. Maybe. But there aren't a lot of sidewalks, none on my street in fact, and it takes 5-10 minutes walking just to get to the end of the street. And then this time of year, there's all kinds of ice on the street, and it's really not safe to walk. I don't even see neighbors with their dogs out walking them. They take them on the driveways and that's it (there's a park nearby that they could take them to that has a trail that gets cleared). So if you plan on living out in this area, you pretty much have to factor in the cost of a car/gas.

I'm a computer/business person, not a car person. I know that it's coming from the engine, and that's about it. I am definitely not an engineer. It's amazing that I got an A in high school engineering (actually, not so amazing; I partnered with a kid who was really good at the mechanics behind it, but whose handwriting was atrocious and who didn't have English as his first language. He did the drawings and most of the building and I did what he told me to do, and I did the writing and the reports. It worked out. Anyway, off topic story aside...).

I think it would have been over $1000 to repair it. It had been going on for a while and we just would keep checking the oil and adding more if needed. If that had been the only thing wrong with the car, we would have continued dealing with it, but since it wasn't the only thing wrong and my parents were very concerned about me driving it (especially after today; my dad drove it and couldn't believe it. He came home and said, "That thing is not safe; we are getting rid of it. Something that Mom didn't even think about). Still sad about it, though.

Someday, when I get a job and make money, I want a Camaro with a V8 engine. I don't care about the MPG; I just want a jackrabbit again.

As for all the blizzards, we still have almost 5 feet in the backyard!

Gotta love it when the snow is over your head. It reminds me of being in a corn maze. I'm claustrophobic. Likely why I carve paths for Walt when the snow is taller than he is.

Luckily, I think snow is pretty, so that helps. :)

STIFLE!!!!! :cautious:
Sorry, but it needed to be said.

Yep, as my pop says when it comes to certain oil leak repairs "Oil's cheap.". ;)

I understand. First new car I ever bought was an '85 Mustang GT 5.0 with a 5-speed stick. That thing flew, both off the line and top end.
Hopefully, someday again... :)

Eh, maybe take a look and then move on to something more pleasant. That's what I'd do. I'd be curious just to see it all in person . . . and then I'd go, "yuck!!" :p :D

Hopefully, you'll be there for some of the Flower and Garden Festival. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous in Epcot during this time.

I'm not going to like it aesthetically, so far I've seen bushes that have the lower branches pulled and plucked to make them appear they are mini trees. :(:(:( Just doesn't look magical anymore.

Little by little they have butchered the heck out of Town Square, Main Street and the Hub. I will keep firmly planted the lovely trees in Town Square, up Main Street and beautiful Cherry Trees in the well shaded hub that my babies saw their first few parades under the Cherry Blossoms.

Agree, that thing is not built for looks.. but for 100% functionality.

From this angle it looks like the mini T-Ball fields we have all backed up to each other 'cause those kids hardly move at all when the ball comes out into play.

From all I've seen of the new hub this looks to be the ugliest portion, not that I'm screaming theming for the balance. But so far the balance does look better than the FP+ viewing area that seems to boast plenty of room to herd wall to wall bodies in, just like the old hub. The rest, non FP+ area seems more spread out.

Was just looking up Bravada models. So glad mine is a newer model. Mine looks like this (except mine is silver):

And not this:

Or this:

The first and second generation Bravadas: ugly. Very ugly.

I like to slap whoever picked out the speakers on the lampposts. I've seen better in my home town.
A couple of the legit insiders have suggested that trees will be placed to hide/minimize many of them.

Personally, based on pics, I think it looks pretty great. Even better when it's done, I'm sure.
