Everything feels big to me. I had to sit on something when I took Driver's Ed just to see over the dash for that car (they have their own cars there for students to use). I will always need power seats that can be adjusted up. All the way up.

The Enclave feels especially huge. The Aurora is fine. The Bravada...still huge. I will have to get a stool just so I can clean the snow off the roof of it.

Either that, or trade chores with someone who can actually reach the roof.

My parents always said that I looked fine driving the Aurora, but that the Bravada looked like too much car for little me. Not thrilled with this arrangement, but oh well.
That's almost all in the head. Women, especially smaller women have been told all their life that they are delicate and unable to deal with machinery. Should be left to the manly man who is big enough to handle it. When I was with the bus company there was a woman that drove there that didn't even make it to 5 ft. tall and weighed in at about 85 pounds. That woman could handle those 44 foot buses like they were a VW Beetle. One of the best drivers I ever worked with. Size means nothing, confidence is everything.

After my Father passed away, my mother, in her 80's drove a Mercury Grand Marquis until she got to sick to do so. She was 4'9'' tall and used 3 pillows under her to see over the steering wheel. She also had a lead foot. I purposely rode with her a few times just to silently see how she was doing. Believe me, she knew what she was doing. So @JenniferS, @StarWarsGirl95 man up and make your gender equal. Make me proud! ;)

You know how you want people to help you. So I wrote this..If you can help in any way, that would be brilliant...and my sister was like never do that, people will have no clue what you're talking about. She changed it to the boring...If you can help in any way, I would appreciate it.

I think I might have to try to be more American.

Actually, I've never seen Ducktales. I'll have to check it out this time around. Do we know yet when it will be on TV?

I can't remember the exact date right now but not for another year, I think. The old ones are available on DVD, I think they are $10. I got season one as a stocking stuffer two Christmases ago. This past Christmas I received the first season each of TaleSpin and Rescue Rangers, those were awesome shows too. I haven't had time to watch them again though.

I'm sure you'll be fine. ;) Many people can't afford to buy a car, and you're fortunate that your parents help you out. :)

Pretty sure I've posted this here before, but, the first vehicle I ever drove regularly after I got my DL was a '70 Chevy Camper Special pickup WITH the huge cabover camper on the back. Although, they did let me use the LeSabre to take my driving test and for dates. 6 months later, I'd saved enough to buy my own wheels. :)
If I ever showed up in the camper to pick up a date, pretty sure nobody woulda' ever seen or heard from me again... ;) :)

Pirates closing May 11 - Sept. 25. Darn!
Yay, but darn!

So annoying for you but yes yea!

My DS said those who are on the task of fixing it are not amused, said it minimum needed 6-7 months and rightfully longer. So it will be interesting what they can pull off and what is left for another rehab. If it is going to be closed through the entire summer keep it closed till Thanksgiving holiday IHO and I tend to agree. That attraction is a people eater, it will be missed during the summer.

It took the year after to finish the punch list on Splash after its major overhaul and Test Track kept getting pushed off by months and reopened long after the original date so there is that too.

It's 13 years old, leaks oil, and one of the tire rims is corroding, so it keeps leaking air. Oil can't be repaired, and the tire rim would cost $700, plus then it needs new tires in six months. Dealer only offered them $550 for it. SUV is newer (2003) and pretty much everything still works. I know why they're getting rid of it, but it still makes me sad. And I'm not thrilled about getting the SUV. I suggested (jokingly) that we could put the V8 engine in the SUV (which only has a V6). They somehow didn't go for that...

Where's it leakin' oil from that it can't be repaired?

Sad day in the JenniferS household.
Son #2 still off work ... barfing his guts up!
And now ... the big guy has gone down.

It's as quite as a tomb in here, except for alternating/simultaneous yakking!
Good thing we have three bathrooms.

That only leaves Adopted Son to get it. He was gone for 48+ hours over the weekend, so I predict he'll get hit by Thursday at the latest.

I will, of course, keep you posted. :hilarious:

We can count on you in the 'over sharing' and TMI departments. ;):p:D:joyfull:

Disney needs one of these. Or 12 in each resort

Soda fountain. It has so many options in one machine. 24 kind of soda/soft drink and then when you tap your choice, about half a dozen flavor options.

You can probably get 100 different drinks from that one machine.

Disney, take notes.

And yes, I am in love with a soda fountain.

@MOXOMUMD will be experiencing those machines soon. My DS said that is what they used on the cruise ship with the refill mugs. :D

We have them here at Meatheads and Noodles & Co.

Nope. Apparently it looks better in person; although I'm in the minority that thinks it looks fine.
Check out the MK - Hub construction thread in N & R.

I sure hope it looks better in person, 'cause it looks like **** in that pic. :depressed:
I still can't believe Disney even went there in the first place, especially with the HUB, of all places. I mean, I get why as per functionality, but, geez, even then, it's DISNEY ******...astro-esque turf...?!
Old dead guys are rollin' over...
