I wiped out again in ice skating. At least the lone guy in our class wiped out, and it was more epic than my wipeout.

I felt really wobbly on my skates today. Toward the end of class, I got off the ice and adjusted my skate. After that, I was fine. I wish I had known that 10 minutes in instead of 40 minutes in. :banghead:
Wear thick socks and keep those laces tied tight!!! :geek:

@ItlngrlBella - and how is your Hubby feeling today?

@JenniferS

He went to work. Yesterday it was coming up via his north end, and today it's coming out of his south end. o_O

Poor guy - 1 month ago he was in the middle of a sale conference with his company, Astellas, and this happened:

http://www.jrn.com/newschannel5/new...ecent-Health-Concerns-289209591.html?lc=Smart

He got sick on the plane ride home and I made him live in our basement for 3 days and followed him around with Clorox wipes. The kids and I didn't get sick. I hope this isn't Norovirus coming back to haunt him... And us.

Im sorry to see everyone in your house is still sick. I hope you are spared!

Note: 20 minutes...by car.

If I tried to walk there, I might eventually make it.

Only worth it for going down to the city if I don't feel like driving.

Gotcha. It's a drag to have to drive to public transportation; at least I can walk, even if one part of my journey is a long walk, but I gotta do what I gotta do to get to work. A number of people where I work actually do drive to train stations (one drives down from southern New Hampshire) and park at the station, and take the train into the city. It's because it's much cheaper to park at those stations (even with the added expense of the train fare), compared to the insanely high parking prices in the city.

When I used to figure skate, it wasn't unusual to adjust my laces once during a session. The key is good equipment, especially a solid, excellent-fitting boot. As a beginner, you can cut back on the quality and price of the blades, but a really good boot is most important. It should be as comfortable as a good-fitting shoe, and should take a medium thickness sock for a best fit. Sometimes beginner skaters feel wobbly in skates, but that's generally due to the fact that the cheaper boots really have no support.
