I so hope we can co-ordinate Disney trips some time.
You have got to meet my husband. He likes to tell people how he did all the work in the delivery room. :)

Oh honey... HE BETTER NOT! :hilarious:

Lol!

I would love to meet your husband and set him straight! :) We could tell him we're taking him to some restaurant or something - blindfold him as a surprise, throw him in a van, and take him here to have this done:

Then we will see if his labour/delivery story changes. ;)

I'd love to see someone throw Jennifer's husband in a van. :joyfull: Don't think physically that'll ever happen. Besides I'm sure he was teasing.

One of the buses I take is 25 minutes away from me. (Would you please write a letter to the transit authority here and ask them to move the bus stop closer to MinnieM123. Thank you! :joyfull: )
Note: 20 minutes...by car.

If I tried to walk there, I might eventually make it.

Only worth it for going down to the city if I don't feel like driving.

It's not that I can't drive them; it's more that I don't like to. I know how; three months after I started learning how to drive, my mom pulled up in her SUV, got out and said, "You're driving." I had to take the driving test in the SUV. It was convenient for one (my dad still had my car), plus even back then, it had a bad sensor and would tell you that the engine coolant is low. Down here, you can't have any alerts on during your driving test or you automatically fail.
But I still don't like feeling like it could tip over. I think the fact that I had an accident in it doesn't help (even though it wasn't my fault and the way I maneuvered it prevented it from being totaled). Even today I drove it and I was like, "Don't tip over".

But as bad as my mom's SUV is, the Buick is 10x worse. But I still want to learn how to drive it so that I can drive it on vacation.
You just have to turn it into a Lowrider!!!

Could someone please remind me that I must go to the library tomorrow. I have absolutely nothing left in the house that I haven't already read half a dozen times.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Let's do some math, shall we?

Trip not taken to Cuba - $2200

$ spent (or to be spent) this week:
$240 - my uncovered portion of scrips
$750 - new computer for Son #1 (his broke, has to have one for school; told him it was his Birthday present)
$1200 - maybe more, according to Nissan service; car not ready until tomorrow

Sounds a lot like $2200, yes?

Spidey senses prevail again.

And oh yeah, everyone here is still sick.
Son #1 - did not go to school; still in bed.
Son #2 - went to work, had to be picked up at noon; yakked 4 times @ work; back in bed.
Hubby - passed out on the couch downstairs; has only been "sitting up" one hour of the past 30!

I cancelled the cleaning lady for today. I pre-pay her at the beginning of the month, and she certainly can't afford to pay me back, so I transferred her services to Bro #3's house for today. (He's tryng to get his house ready to sell, and is desperate for help!)

I cancelled Tammy for the Survivor premiere tonight.

I cancelled my regular bi-weekly tea date with my friend Liz, for tomorrow.

Thinking I should hang a quarantine sign on all entrance doors. Abandon hope all ye who enter.

P.S. - I Googled it - believe it or not, "bi-weekly" means an event that occurs EITHER twice weekly or once every two weeks. How weird is that?
P.P.S. - Every two weeks is the most common usage.

Think I'll get a sub for supper tonight. Nobody else will be eating. Pics to folow, surely.

I'll probably try then Saturday when I'm home all day.

My family heritage is from Lecce Italy - a southern coastal town... and if it swims, we eat it - squid, conch, abalone, urchin, any fish. I also will eat any sushi. The only thing I can't bring myself to eat are oysters and snails.

I'll probably go simple with these - garlic, olive oil, pecorino and parm regg.

I'm good with all a' that, and they oysters and snails, too...! :hungry: :)

I picture you walking around the house wearing a mask and gloves. :)
