We did a 19 day megatrip of WDW, Uni and Sea World one year and stayed at one of the All-Stars. I did laundry there and the wash was fine but the two dryers I used didn't do well. I thought that odd both weren't drying and pulled the lint trap out of the first one. :depressed::depressed: (I still gag at thinking about it.) Sooo gross I didn't try the second one. I called Mousekeeping and they gave me back all my money and proceeded to clean the traps. The traps looked like they never had been cleaned ever. :grumpy:

It's a miracle they didn't have a fire in there. I watched an interview with a fireman, and I'll never forget how he stated that dryer lint is one of the most combustable items in a home.

My area is under a winter storm warning for tomorrow. We are supposed to have rain starting around midnight and then turning into snow around 5 am and then snow all day on Thursday. Should have about 4-8 inches. Our school district (and others) are not calling school off or delaying yet. So I guess it will be a wait and see type of thing. I wish I knew if I would have to set my alarm or not.

How much is the cost of the Keurigs in general?

I mean, you have to buy the special cups, right?

They run anywhere (on sale) for around $80, up to a few hundred. Just depends upon the model, and they have a bunch of models now. But they always do go on sale, and are sold at many stores and online (Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond and many others for example).

Yes, you have to buy the little K cups that go in, but even those go on sale a lot, and there's many coffee companies that make them & sell in bulk, too. Competition is good for lowering the price to consumers. Keurig also sells a special insert that you can click in, and it allows you to put in your own coffee, (versus inserting a bought K Cup). But those are a pain in the tush, unless you only use those. (Switching back and forth between K Cups or the insert, akes time to pull out, click in the various inserts. I can't be bothered.) ;)

Prednisone is good for a number of ailments, but with longer-term usage, it's been known to increase your chances of getting cataracts. However, if you only took it for a week, that shouldn't have been a factor in your eye's condition.

Anyway, it's good that you're having the surgery to correct this condition.
Yup, that is what I found out about it as well. Wasn't really worried about it, but, it was interesting information. A doctor once was quoted as saying the every single cell you were born with have long died off and were replaced by new one, probably multiple times. All except the lens in your eye. So with the replacement of this lens I will officially be somebody other then who I was when I was born. At my age I'm practically a stranger to myself. For the record I find myself interesting and perhaps even, dare I say it, a stable genius! Life is good.

Yeah, for us the dining plan works because it comes with the package and our trips are so long because we can only afford it once every several years. We can't afford to make even one trip a year with the flights over. So we do one trip, and it has to last several years, so we stay longer. It works for us. And if you are staying for 10 days, or 2 weeks, free dining makes a HUGE difference. Massive!! What really limited us on our last trip was just that DS is so picky, but we weren't sure what exactly he'd like and what he didn't, so we kept ordering things for him and then he didn't like them, so we had to go somewhere to get fries for him later. PLUS, he was only 8, so he was on the kids dining plan...otherwise we could have just ordered dessert for him in all the restaurants, but the kids one has a pre-fix dessert that comes with the meal. It was not ideal. I think the next time will be better. He just turned 10, so he'll have the regular dining plan next time, and now we know better where he will be able to eat and where we shouldn't waste a credit for him. It will work out..

You guys receive much nicer packages than we do in the states from Disney. Still I wouldn't want to contend with the cost of your airfare over to this side of the pond. Yikes!

I've never been a fan of the kids offerings when on the dining plan in some of the restaurants TS or QS, yet a chunk have made some effort to offering both traditional fast food and a few offerings from the type of restaurant you are dining at. Years ago one place offered an Egg Roll as the entree. I was stunned as that is not a meal.

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow! Sounds like you have a good attitude about everything!:)

That seems Disney normal lol.
Every update, they face silly amounts of errors and bugs.

Anyone remembers when My Magic went up? It was a nightmare both on the hotels, the parks AND the online website.

I remember the Previews Disney kept trying to do for AP holders and DVC members. It wasn't pretty. Remember the FLE Preview and the system kept crashing so they set a different sign up date to fix the issues. No sooner did it open up for reservations and crashed again.

Our first time doing ADRs and FP+ reservations was a nightmare. They'd send you over to Tech Support and they hadn't a clue as to what they were doing when you finally got off hold. Remember starting the practice of taking screen shots of ADR and FP+ because they just disappeared from your account. It wasn't pretty. :cyclops:

I remember the system crashing with the FP+ and it still isn't always perfect. I went to make our fast passes yesterday for our trip and I was a couple days in and suddenly I got a message that I had reached my limit on fast passes. I was like...what?! I haven't even made any for the day I was trying for and it was for the 2nd day of our trip! Hub called their tech support and they couldn't figure out why the message was coming up so they just made our fast passes for us.

We're under a Winter Storm Watch for Friday/Saturday calling for 8-12 inches of snow. :grumpy: Tomorrow it's going to be 60*! :bored:

Would it be bad if I contacted the Grenfell Tower support team to see if they sound help with getting my claim resolved? I am listed as a victim of the fire (the council determined that, I didn't sign up for it) and I keep getting news letters saying they are there to help etc. So far I haven't accepted any help or support as I feel I should take care of myself and not be a drain on resources but I am so frustrated with this situation. It is hard enough living right next to that carcass of a building, being reminded every day of what happened, without getting the run around from everyone.

Sympathy like.
Hope it all gets sorted, soon.

Add white to that.
My mom only has had her car for 2 days and she has been hit TWICE.

One by an idiotic teenager who had no business driving a huge pick up (tboned my mom after he somehow lost control and rammed my mother sideways as she drove on a 4 lane road (2/2 road). Good thing they were both going very slow (the kid was just tarting to to speed up, which makes me wonder if he was high..)

The other.. a b***rd bus driver (very usual to see drivers being scum, untrained, rude, dirty, racing to get as many people as possible on their buses in falling apart buses). hit my mom in the back during a stoplight. My mom was baffled and the driver escaped.

Woof!
Sympathy like.

Sympathy like. It is going to be 50 here tomorrow and 60 and rain on Friday. I will take the rain over ice and snow any day. Unfortunately back to freezing and below freezing starting Saturday.:(
Same here. I started with a migraine today because of the rain coming in, though. In the middle of a meeting with my supervisor and my manager. My manager gets very comcerned when I stop being opinionated about the topic at hand. She knows that means migraine.
