Except I don't miss walking and crisscrossing the park to get the old paper fast passes.
I remember those days very well. Dh would run ahead and leave me with the stroller while he would get coveted FP’s like TSMM. It is still a competition to get coveted fp’s, and now you have slow wifi to contend with. Don’t know which I prefer more. I do prefer the less crowded parks like in the early 2000’s.

I remember the system crashing with the FP+ and it still isn't always perfect. I went to make our fast passes yesterday for our trip and I was a couple days in and suddenly I got a message that I had reached my limit on fast passes. I was like...what?! I haven't even made any for the day I was trying for and it was for the 2nd day of our trip! Hub called their tech support and they couldn't figure out why the message was coming up so they just made our fast passes for us.

You are not alone woman! This is a frequent glitch with AP holders. You have a limit if you are NOT a resort guest. Unfortunately the MDE is supposed to override the monthly maximum FP+ for AP holders when a resort is booked doesn't always work cause the glitch kicks in. Likely tech knew exactly what the issue was but not going down the road and just booked your FP+

This problem pops up all the time in posts on Disney Fan FB pages. Another version of the FP+ glitch is when there is a break in resort stays and also with dining plan credits. Guests who stay at a resort, go on cruise and return to WDW resort after cruise have also had these glitches happen.

I didn't know about that glitch. Good to know though especially when we will be need big to book our fast passes for our two week trip.

You should have seen some of the themed outfits I wore last trip. :D I still miss the big green grin:mad:
Funnily, this excuse is used in all accounts and in both sides..

You're too old.. you're not allowed to talk about tech or games.
You're "too young".. and your opinion is invalid in politics and money.

Yep, it goes both ways, and everything in between, depending on people's age perspective. I value all input, without automatically discounting it.

In other news, I do not like the new website quotes. Why? because it could be used as proof when someone wrote something and tried to backdown later on.
Now it seems the quotes are updated automatically on edit o_O

While for normal conversation there is no problem (ie, just a simple typo) For conversations like politics, rants, etc.. It could be very troublesome as someone could easily "I never said it", "you did it!" "prove it" "I have it in quote somewhere" "hah no you dont!"(and thus the quotes are no longer the original text).

There is a reason the quotes do not change to prevent baiting. (person A is very rude and insults everyone, Person B defends profoundly and calls A, Person A changes the writing text but with a very specific changes. Person B now looks like a deranged prissy.. People will now bash person B for "overreacting").

Which means on heated conversations.. you will have to rely on screenshots....

Yep. Makes no sense...at all.

Wow. Do they still offer those discounts to CM's? If there was a Disney Store within 30 minutes of here, I would be bum-rushing the door for those benefits.:D Alas, our only stores are in outlet centers an hour or more away.:(

It depends but on a whole the CMs perks have been cut quite a bit this decade. My DS 20% merchandise most of the year but twice a year it would be 40%, one of which was the month before Christmas. They also received coupons for the parks, free Pop Corn etc., little things but a nice touch. The day CMs finished Traditions Class (first days of employment) they received their Main Gate pass and it only had a couple possible block outs, so pretty equivalent to my Annual Pass. He was given x amount of guest passes loaded into his MainGate. So when he'd bring me in they could pull a pass for me on the spot at the turnstile. He had to be with me for me to enter the first park. I could from that point forward park hop the balance of the day without him though protocol said he was to stay with his guests. It was a flat fee of $25 for the dining plan if he was the one renting the room. If it was friends and family it was maybe $40-45 dollars for DDP. At Table Service with his MainGate 20% off food always and 40% during certain time periods similar to Merchandise. They also had discounts on excursions like the AK safari trek when he did it was 50% off. The resorts were 60% off but restricted to certain resorts at 60, 50 or 40% for others and some not available. (the dates and availability have taken a hit the last few years) When he'd get me a room the CM rooms were always the most standard rooms for the highest discount.

There are all sorts of CMs. WDCorp, WDW, Disney Store. Their benefits vary. I don't believe the Disney Store employees had 365 (minus a few days) park entry. The Corp an subsidiaries owned by Disney also have their individual special perks as do the WDW employees, they also have their own cafeteria in Parks which costs dramatically less than the guests food but just not always equivalent in offerings but helps those CMs working in the parks cause you won't see them on break out and about in the park.

Age doesn't equal wisdom especially when it comes to money. I know plenty of people of all ages who are dumb with money.
I have found now that I am in my forties that I am clearer on what I want out of life and I have more confidence then in my twenties but my opinion on matters is no more valid than a 20 year old or a 60 year old. Everyone is entitled to voice their opinion and depending on what it is, I am entitled to disagree with them like Dryer lint is not a yummy snack @dryerlintfan .;)

Yep and everyone is so different as is their priorities. By the time I was 25 I had owned a condo, then bought a house and paid for a new car in a years time. A career, a car and a house were my mandatory bucketlist I set for myself before I had children. But those were my priorities for only myself. I have friends my age now that never owned a home. They could they don't want to. The transfer jobs, travel and don't want to put time and money into a home. Different bucketlists.

No
Jasmine is getting spayed on Friday. In Baltimore County, you can take your cat or dog to a county shelter and they will spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinate for $20 cor county residents.

The instructions on the email said to take cats in a carrier and label the carrier with the cat's first and last name. So I did that with ny hard side carrier using tape. My dad looked and says, "You gave the cat my last name?"
"No Dad. I gave her my last name. You gave me your last name."😂:hilarious:

It isn't that it happens very frequently but it does keep happening and the posts about it on Disney Fan Facebook pages are always What is this, why is this happening or plain ole HELP are frequent enough to know they are not resolving it.

So, funny story.... When I was stationed at fort Bragg they had run out of housing on post so they put me up in this apartment right outside the gate. It was glorious, because I had a garden tub, and a couple spare rooms for my friends to stay in when they came to visit.

But I had a lot of trouble with the clothes dryer. It worked okay when I first got in, but grew less and less effective. Soon, I was having to dry a load of laundry six or seven hours before it would actually get dry. So I finally broke down and called maintenance who said they could come check it out the next day while I was at work.

So I get home from work, and on top of the dryer is a cake if dryer lint that was, I kid you not, at least six inches thick, and a note from the maintenance guy that said "you're lucky the building didn't catch fire. Please empty the dryer lint after every three loads" :hilarious::hilarious: I had only ever done laundry at the laundromat before so I had no idea there even was a dryer lint trap :banghead::banghead:

Ha! I am an over achiever. I clean the trap after every load. If it is a giant load of something like sweatshirts that might take more than a single cycle I pull the fluff out as I reset it.
