Oh man.... I just found the ONE THING I hate about the upgrade....... I'm not seeing a banner on the posts that signifies who the original poster of the thread is. Is that gone?!?! Can we have it back, please?!?!

Sympathy like. My kids were supposed to have school today, but they are both sick. I had to stay home from work today. Is your daughter wanting to go back or is she happy with the snow day?

Yes, but it used to say on the persons avatar. So when someone said something, you would know straight away instead of having to scroll all the way up, and then all the way down to find the post again.

While I am staying at my sister's I take care of the household. So I do all the shopping, cooking and cleaning. I made a meal plan for this week and the only thing my sister asked me to cook is ginger beer pulled pork. No problem I thought...
Turns out pork shoulder isn't sold at most places. I have been to 3 different supermarkets without luck. The last supermarket was a large Chinese one which was a lot of fun. So many unusual products and loads of yummy food, they did sell pork stomach but no shoulder. I will try a butcher shop tomorrow.

You use can use pork butt.

It's just really thin sheets of ice. So it's not black, but you can see the road through it and it looks black because of the asphalt. It looks wet, like a puddle, and happens a lot when the temps are hovering around freezing (not too much below or above that). When it gets really cold, usually the ice gets thicker so you can see it better.

It is especially common on bridges and overpasses though.

Sympathy like. That is crazy. Are they going to take other breaks away or will they end up extending the school year. What do parents do that need to work?

We are at our max days allowed then any future ones will have to be made up. We have a good Boys & Girls Club.

Black ice terrifies me because you almost never see it. Some really huge accidents have happened because of black ice. Even if you notice it and manage to mitigate it, the guy behind you probably won't.

We are supposed to get a little ice as well although the temperatures will be below 32. They already pre-treated our streets here with a brine. Get home safe.

She wants to go to see her friends, class not so much.
