The escape room we did cost $125 last year. It was fun, but we haven't thought about doing another one because of the cost.
It is really expensive. The first one we did, it was just Hubby and I and we had SO much fun even though we didn't make it through. The other ones we did, we took the kids. There aren't a whole lot of places that allow kids...usually the cut off is around 14 or 15, but some will allow as young as 8 and some have rooms designed specifically for groups including children. The Harry Potter one we did could be adjusted with kids. The Egypt one wasn't designed for kids, but they allowed them. We'd love to do more, but the kids can't get in most places yet and we have no other friends for whom it would be fun.

Sympathy like. We got a tiny dusting, and they got an inch by dh's office. It wasn't supposed to even snow at all. They're calling for horrendous winds and very low temps tomorrow. Littlest dd has a cheer competition down in MD tomorrow outside DC. Was just going to drive down in the morning, but we need to be there for 7am. With the bad weather and super cold wind chills, I decided to get a hotel room. I thought they would be crazy expensive, but managed to find a nice one for under $100 including tax.
Good luck in the competition! Hope your drive down is uneventful. Good thinking going early!

Is the new one on YouTube like her others? I can’t watch YouTube on my furesticknany more. They removed YouTube Jan 1st! Guess I will have to pull out the laptop to watch it. :(
Ok, I'm a tech squib...I am terrible with all things tech. So please bear with me...what the heck is a furesticknany??? Is it like an e-reader? Or is it a service like Netflix?

I would plan on getting down there sometime this afternoon. Before rush hour and before it gets dark.

The good news is the major expressways here are cleared.

Of course I feel bad for the small businesses that lose money.

There are also other small businesses that are pulling in gold this week, in anticipation of the storm--small independent hardware stores, mom and pop corner grocery stores, independent gas station owners/operators, independent auto service (and sales) shops, independent pharmacies, private snowplow drivers (BIG BIG MONEY for those men), small, independent restaurants, privately-owned coffee shops, independent taxi drivers, etc.
And babysitters! Someone has to watch the kids when the parents have to work.

Yes. It is on YouTube. We have a smart tv so I watch on it. Maybe get a Roku?

They have a practice tomorrow that ends at 6:30. So hopefully the roads will not be too terrible. At least I won’t have to worry about rushing down Saturday morning. Are you getting a lot of snow down there? Just very windy here.

A firestick is an Amazon product. It kind of turns a regular tv into a smart one so you can watch Netflix and other streaming services. :)

We've got about 2 inches. DC supposedly got more. I would leave mid afternoon, though, to avoid traffic, and to avoid the fact that we have absolutely no idea how to drive here. If you leave too late, you will get stuck in traffic, and it will not be fun.

We are driving down tomorrow evening. Hopefully the roads will be better tomorrow. I will probably be on the road at 7pm tomorrow. It should take 1 hour and 45 minutes without traffic. Have no choice since the practice is late.

Haha sorry about that! My iPhone always autocorrects words and I I am in a hurry, I don’t read back over before I send. I edited it but it may not have corrected it. It is an Amazon firestick.

I felt that way yesterday @Gabe1 . Today was a bit better. Yet tomorrow we are predicted to receive a 6 inch snowfall. My school district already announced that school will be closed on Thursday.
Snow is predicted to be done around 5pm today. It's really windy. I hope that school is canceled for tomorrow as well. If my school district has a "delayed opening" for Friday, my teenager has to be at school by 9am instead of her usual 7am. If school is not canceled for Friday.... either I clear the snow as the sunset turns into darkness tonight....or start clearing snow at 7AM or probably earlier tomorrow.
Ugh!
I'm not thrilled by either option :(

Sympathy like. I would think that if they cannot get the roads cleaned well enough, and considering the temperatures will not be above freezing until Monday, they may be closed. They have to worry about the kids who walk, and then the liability of the buses. Well, good luck and stay safe.

First of all, what naughty word did you write before glasses?:joyfull:
Second, I am sorry your glasses are giving you problems. I was told when ordering mine it can take a week or so to get used to wearing them.

I actually wrote the past of wearing, I guess I mistyped and got the naughty word instead.. lol

And there it is! another glasses person who agrees with the week thing!

I tried the glasses last night for a few hours. Not much dizzyness this time, no headache.
