I fail to grasp why they dont bring them back to the gate. If the weather is that bad they need to be de-iced again. What the heck.

Well... What started it all is that they left the gate and needed to be de iced, but then ran out of deicer. Then when they were waiting on that, both pilots passed over their allowed hours of being in the cockpit (which is silly because they definitely would have been over if they did that flight), so they had to find new pilots. That took a good long while. Then to switch out pilots they needed to find a gate but there were no gates available. Then because they were driving around the airport for so long, they needed to refuel. They found a gate and changed pilots and refueled, but then they needed to de ice again. Then after almost five hours of this circus, they're finally taxiing to the runway to take off.... And a lady on board can't breathe and needs medical assistance. You can't make this up, lol. I felt so so so bad for her

The most preposterous thing that happened was that they ran out of deicer in EARLY winter?!! Good grief.

I think the kids have that penciled in for tomorrow and Monday, the have the stack of movies pulled out although that's subject to change if they start binging on video games they both got PS money for Christmas
I got to the end of Deathly Hallows I and then went to sleep.
As I am researching cars (which is my life now) I decided to look into the Chevys just for the heck of it.

I went to the section about the interior. I was trying to find out whether the interior was fabric, leather, etc. I was going through the bullet points...and one was "Steering Wheel". Nothing after that, just "Steering wheel." So apparently, that car has a steering wheel.

Good to know. :hilarious:
Mine has a heated steering wheel. ;)

I am having fun with it, but the more research I do, the more I keep coming back to my original idea: new 2018 Toyota Camry. I loved that car in SC, so I know I like driving it. It covers several of the features I want. For instance, I definitely want a car with power adjustable seats so I can see over the dashboard to drive. I do NOT want cloth seats. There's the option for leather, but the Camrys also have another option called Softex which is a leather-like synthetic not made from animals that is cheaper. I would be fine with that. Auto transmission - covered. I liked the amount of trunk space. I would pay for an additional feature package that includes additional safety features and remote keyless entry. Even though I would like to have a sunroof, I'm being good and prioritizing safety features.

I also found out some interesting information. For instance, I definitely want a 2018 Camry, not a 2017 because the Camry underwent a major redesign for 2018. I also don't want the Corolla because it hasn't had the redesign yet and likely won't have the same feel that I liked in the Camry.

I found out some necessary information, like that I will qualify on my own (my parents will not cosign a loan), and that Toyota is currently running a 0% APR offer plus $1500 cash on new Camrys. I also found out that I really should buy a car this year and take advantage of the discounts as a recent college grad.

Also, in case you're interested, I found out that all Chevy Malibus have steering wheels. Evidently, that is very important for cars to have.
Can't go wrong with 0%. I would definitely take advantage of that. You are using your current car as a trade in, or saving it for your brother?

Ha!

I guess a steering wheel is worth investing in. Are you having fun with it? My DD today was investigating Instant Pot cookers today and recipes. I guess we let a kitchen appliance get past us...we didn't know. Now her quest is which would be best out of the various sizes and bells and whistles.

My sons car is leather, mine is some type of fabric, DD is dry rotted something.
I've had them all from leather to vinyl. I still land back at fabric unless the leather is heated/cooled. My last truck had leather and I seemed to always have a towel on the seat, like Goldilocks too hot, too cold.

We have the instant pot and love it!!

I kinda lost you there. The resorts on Hotel Blvd right off Disney Springs Shopping District do not drop off with the Disney Buses. They are farther out in the lots and at the MK off at the Ticket and Transportation center behind the ticket booths. When we have stayed on Hotel Blvd. The buses in the morning drop you and it is perfectly fine or we hop a bus from Disney Springs to Contemporary or the nearest Disney Resort to the Park we are going to. By 4pm there are direct buses to Disney Springs and we walk over the bridge to the resort. Never had an issue but we are 365 day walkers so it doesn't bother us to cross the bridge. The buses at Hotel Blvd are reliable and every 30 minutes so you can gauge when to leave your room. Bonus they are in covered areas if the weather is rainy. Coming back to the resort I don't ride them 'cause you have to wait out in a parking lot. So to Springs or Uber.
Our plan is to do MK our first 4 days to the max while we are at The Cabins. We have our car so don't mind driving and walking the lots. It is just the lot at MK is so darn long depending upon where the stick you, and then the TTC is a pain with taking the monorail or boat, and then the security. It stinks that they got rid of the AAA preferred parking. Loved that.

We used to wind up paying a few more dollars for tickets from AAA but the parking was worth it for my dh. He said shade was more important than walking distance and all AAA parking was both close and had good shade except EPCOT.

Suggestion to all: don't completely rule out hotels' own web sites. I was in the hotel industry years ago and I can tell you that things can change without warning in 24 hours or less. Best to just keep your eyes on multiple sites.
Yep. Usually I go directly to a hotels website. This rate included the breakfast for the same rate the hotel was charging without breakfast. I liked that I didn't have to put a deposit as well. I will definitely keep a look out for rate changes. I love bargains. :)

As far I know, they have more ships because they own other brands. Carnival is just one of the big corporation.

If I remember correctly, they own carnival, Holland America Group and Costa Group, which in turns control ships of : AIDA, Carnival, Costa, Cunard, Fathom, Holland america Line, P&O, Princess Cruises and SeaBourn.
There are actually 27 Carnival ships.
