That still is not excuse to threat you this poorly.
Well, thank you. I appreciate the support. I just need to pull up my big girl panties and do what needs to be done. And now I have a whole year before having to deal with Christmas stress again! Which is good, since I have succumbed to the stress and have come down with some sort of respiratory thing. Had to call in sick to work tonight, which I really did not want to have to do.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

My grandson was sent home from work today. He has been sick for the last few days. His symptoms are different than mine. Vomiting, and fever, which I don't have. Germs/colds/illness has a way of sneaking up on us when we least expect it.

Some down time is good. We did water parks in between, but then, we had 14 day ultimate tickets that included entrance to the waterparks, too. I wouldn't have paid extra for them, but if we hadn't had those, I think we'd still have just done pool days at the resort. Next time we go back, I fully intend to have a few rest days...you just can't go go go day after day. How are you feeling now?

Well we got home and realized we were pretty dumb for turning the heat off while we were gone. The inside of our house was down to 27* and even with the heat going full blast it's only just up to 55* five hours later. Love and learn. The kid and I have been huddled under a pile of blankets watching movies, so that's been really nice :inlove::inlove:

So glad we are southern PA and nowhere near one of the Great (snow dumping) Lakes. Not a drop of snow, yet.

We got a few inches but for some reason Public Works is grasping the concept of salt on the roads. :cautious:

My Sis that lives in Ohio (I can see Lake Erie from her 2nd floor balcony, she'll be home in a few more days after being out of town for several weeks. Wonder what their driveway will look like? :cyclops:

Yikes! 27 degrees. :coldfeet: And yep when everything in the house is 27 degrees, floors, furniture, appliances it takes a bit to bring everything up to comfy room temperature. Guardian Angel you had that a water pipe didn't break. :inlove: Happy you are home safe.

I have a rotten cold. Not the worst one of my life, but still annoying. It has kept me inside all week. Of course, I am also avoiding the single digit temps that have been reported the last few days. Tomorrow I will have to go out. It's banking day, and I need to pick up a prescription at Walgreens.

Bluck! It has been nasty in Northern IL and the wind isn't helping. Did you get the snow too today?

Be well. :inlove:

My Disney themed gifts from my hubs.

I included a close up of my fave Disney gifts from hubs, probably the nerdiest Disney gifts ever. A book about janitorial Disneyland cast members and a framed picture of Walt and Guy Williams (zorro).

Nice Hubby!!!! Quite a collection of loot there. I'm impressed.

Being the Geek that I am and a confessed germaphobic let me know what you think of Cleaning the Kingdom please. Might have to add that one to my collection. :geek:

Good book choices. I have the map and the poster art one and have checked out the Immagineering one a lot from my library. You might want to have a magnifying glass handy when you look through the map books. I pulled out mine so I could see a lot of the details on the maps.

Ha! I wonder where I packed my magnifying glass?

I enjoyed the original imagineering book and look forward to reading this squeal to it. :geek:

@MySmallWorldof4 Here's a photo of Big Murgy's Den. They serve Apple Cider and cookies at 3 pm.

Thanks! Apple cider and cookies. :hungry: I do love their lemonade though. Were those kitties at Shelter Cove? We always see a bunch there and wondered if they belong to someone.
Next time I get pounded with Lake Erie's lake effect snow I'll ship it to you. :D
No, no. You want to send it due East to Boston and @MinnieM123 . :)

Oooh. Never turn it off completely. Maybe turn off the water, but lower the heat to 60. Luckly you weren’t gone for too long ir the pipes could have gone Ka-blewy with this cold. Hurray for being home safe. Sorry about the temp.

I made the cauliflower base for the boys when I cornered the farm market on them. Anyhoo they loved it I also made a completely vegan version for me and it wasn't bad either. I don't know if you noticed but cheese helps hold the crust together.

I just can't see me making a cauliflower base. I'd be all in if someone else made it for me. Never gave a thought to the cheese holding the crust together. I'm going to make this pizza as soon as pretty veggies appear again but likely with a flat bread. Its just so pretty.
At least you have degrees. It's down right dangerous here. FLORIDA I wonder if my kids will miss me when I run away once it's safe to leave my house

SHOTGUN!!!!

Yeah we got really lucky!! Growing up in California doesn't prepare you for winter homeownership in the Midwest, lol
