Well, thank you. I appreciate the support. I just need to pull up my big girl panties and do what needs to be done. And now I have a whole year before having to deal with Christmas stress again! Which is good, since I have succumbed to the stress and have come down with some sort of respiratory thing. Had to call in sick to work tonight, which I really did not want to have to do.

Hope you feel better soon. I have had a bit of a respiratory thing since my cold about a week and a half ago. It doesn't help that it has been in the negatives around here and going in and out of the house leaves me breathless sometimes.

Ha! I wonder where I packed my magnifying glass?

I enjoyed the original imagineering book and look forward to reading this squeal to it. :geek:

You'll enjoy it even if you don't find your magnifying glass, but it does help appreciate some of the details.

I had some things to accomplish today. I started with Target and ended with Target. The roads are slick even with just a few inches of snow, icy. Done. :bored:

That makes me glad I'm not driving on those Chicago roads! We got some snow here today and there was a big pile up on the freeway near here, another reason I was glad not to be driving around here.

Nice Hubby!!!! Quite a collection of loot there. I'm impressed.

Being the Geek that I am and a confessed germaphobic let me know what you think of Cleaning the Kingdom please. Might have to add that one to my collection. :geek:

He did a good job with gifts this year, he usually does. I started reading Cleaning the Kingdom today so far it is pretty good. It said in the intro that all the gross stories are in Chapter 5. I haven't gotten there yet but I'm looking forward and not forward to it.

Thanks! Apple cider and cookies. :hungry: I do love their lemonade though. Were those kitties at Shelter Cove? We always see a bunch there and wondered if they belong to someone.
The ones we saw were at Crazy Crab. We did see the ones at Shelter Cove and gave them plenty of attention as well. Both sets are community cats. They're well fed and cared for by several in the community. You can tell that they're part of the trap, neuter, return program (TNR) program due to their ear tip. The program is huge in the south because kitten season is longer than up north. So they use the program to control the program, and the cats live out their lives in relative bliss.

Yep, it is just so cold and they are not doing a bang up job on the roads. I made Chicken and Rice soup instead with fresh onion, celery, carrots, chive and celery leaves. Hibernating. Saying 2-5 inches of snow again tomorrow. At least the snow is light being so cold.

And yes, I want to know if I should skip chapter 5 or read it. ;)

Fun. Fun but expensive. I went with my DS when he bought his car. I find it worse than buying a house but not as bad as them choosing which University to call home back then.
It's either get a new car or spend $1500 to replace the AC in mine. I have asthma; driving a car without AC isn't an option once we hit spring, and I'd rather put that $1500 towards a new car than a 14 year old car that's likely to have something else major go wrong with it and cost even more. :greedy:

The more I'm driving this rental car here (the Camry), the more I realize how much more relaxed I am with the new features, especially the back up camera. A couple of years ago, I was in a parking lot and backing out when I hit a woman. Well, I hit the woman because she was going too fast and driving in the wrong lane, and in spite of her yelling at me and her protests to the contrary, I had photos showing her in the wrong lane, and she was found at fault. But if I had had a back up cam, that accident never would have happened. The safety feature would have warned me, I would have stopped, and it would have been an uneventful day. Now, sometimes I feel afraid of my own shadow because of that happening. For peace of mind, it'll be so worth it.

Rental cars always get me like that. Before I had the kid I drove a Yaris and every time I had a rental car I marveled at how it could go over a mountain without losing speed:hilarious::hilarious:

Yup. When I was out in California, I didn't want to give up the Hyudai either. But there were little things that bugged me about that car. Specifically the placement of the cupholders. Nothing bugs me about the Camry. And it has awesome pickup. :D

The cup holders are what I miss most about my Yaris. That thing had cup holders everywhere. I've never seen another car with such convenient cup holders!

You've worked hard you've saved, if this is a goal I'd say go for it. Best to have the car before you buy the home. My two cents.

My DD still hasn't bought a new car. Her car has zero rust and 40 thousand miles and is 20 years old (long story but only had 20 on it when it was bought for her in high school) She knows she wants an Outback with 4x4. She is wrestling given she starts Grad School in a few weeks. Education is seeming to WIN over the new car in her goals.
