When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I think women tend to have quite a few more surgeries.Oh wow. No wonder his buds were havin' so much fun yankin' his chain...!!!
I've experienced all a' that, and more, over the years, along with my silly heart condition.
Have ever only had two surgeries. The first was shortly after youngest DD was born, so ya' can probably guess what that was about.![]()
Only need a local and about 15 min. for that one. The Doc, nurses, and I yakked the whole time about work, kids, snow skiing, etc..
The Doc thought it was funny 'cause he had a guy in for the same procedure one time that remained completely quiet and looked quite annoyed through the whole thing as he and the nurses talked away through the procedure.
Didn't say one word...until they were completely finished. Apparently, once he felt the coast was clear, and he was safe, he let 'em all have it for yakkin' away all through his "delicate' procedure...!!!
The other surgery (for an infection), I did hafta' be put under for, and it lasted about 1.5 hrs. All went well and I felt great when I woke up in recovery. But, the 2-ish weeks of healing after that weren't quite the cake walk I'd hoped...!![]()

Seems once we're done with our women parts, they start to give us trouble.
I think God should have included an eject button. Done with your ovaries ... eject. Don't need that uterus ... eject. Gall bladder twinges ... eject.
(And yes, I know men have gall bladders too, but yours tend to behave better.)
While we're recounting surgeries, I've had 7, all of which required general anaesthesia.
One for a foreign object in my foot - age 5
Three for aggressive plantar warts - age 9-14
One for removal of four Wisdom Teeth - age 22
One for five separate gynecological procedure (only one that was a big deal) - age 37
One for hysterectomy - age 45
Still have my ovaries, gall bladder and appendix ... so who knows?
