I was definitivelty disappointed.
funnily.. the FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING was the only one with CC that worked more than 30 minutes.

after leaving the show.. the unit started to give Error on the battery.

That's sad and completely unacceptable. Supposedly, Disney prides themselves on hosting people with various medical issues, and it seems like they have been dropping the ball. :(

I sincerely hope that the rest of the time you spend in the parks goes well for you. We're all looking forward to your pictures, too (maybe when you get home, and have more time).

Hmmm...I am also hypoglycemic without diabetes. Mildly, but hypoglycemic. I got bloodwork done, as I do every year thanks to having two parents with hypothyroidism (so far it's negative for me, but my doctor is keeping an eye on it, along with risk factors for diabetes because that runs on both sides of the family). When I was in high school, I did a fasting blood test. When it came back, my doctor said, "Guess what? You're hypoglycemic." Hmph. It's very mild, but I have to make sure I ear regularly. I get super cranky right before getting pale if I go too long without sugar. And every now and then I'll get super lightheaded and I'll need to eat. I keep hard candy in my car just in case. Not severe at all, just something I always keep in mind. I also remind myself to eat something, even when I'm not hungry.

Wonder if there's a correlation between asthmatics and people with nondiabetic hypoglycemia.

My DD is hypoglycemic as is my DH without diabetes too. Our family Doc that is an amazing diagnostician explained to us that blood work for this type of hypoglycemia will not flag on normal bloodwork because it is a very sudden dip and out of the ordinary. It pretty much has to be in the moment. Within 5 minutes the paramedic stabbed the hubbies finger and pretty much the same with my DD. By the time they got DH to the ER and tested his blood sugar it was back to normal. DD can feel it coming on now and will down some juice or eat something sugary. If it hits hard she knows to sit or lay down flat if possible. When it happened with my DH he was across the table from me and his face got so distorted. I told the manager to call the paramedics and by then he was out. The firestation was 2 blocks from the restaurant. He was awake by the time they got there. DH had just started to drink a Coke and they figured he got enough into him to bring the sugar levels back up pretty quickly. What I didn't know was early in the morning he went to his weight room and was exercising without eating first thing in the morning. Now when he wakes up he swallows a bit of Coke before getting to getting first thing in the morning. His solution.

Our news is all about the Jackie Robinson Little League, now for the time being ex National Champs. Don't know if this controversy is nationwide or not since JWR league is a Chicago league but Wowzers. The passion brought to the table for 12 year old Little League and the lengths all people involved on both sides and politicians is incredible.

The passion for any type of baseball is alive and well.

the dueling dragons? nope, I was too loaded with food to try that.
Also, its pretty cold in florida with wind.
so nope nope.

anyway, I am talking about the forbiden journey (the one with the massive 3d screens)
the movement, the mismached speed of what you seen and what the ride system moved... got me feeling unwell (the worst part was the quidditch part)
The ride itself is fantastic. But the screens werenot very good, they looked dirty ,blurry and not bright enough.
but loved the dragon, the spiders and the dementor anymatronics.

I loved the queue more, so much to see! lots of details!

I don't do well with screen based rides, they really mess with my equilibrium, my brain feels fuzzy and if I've eaten recently my tummy gets upset too. Only sleep helps.

StarWars was always the worst for me. So I go on with whoever I am with, I pick out spot on floor and stare. Works for me. If I am traveling solo, I skip them after experiencing them once.

I bet you were. Considering the convention you are attending you would think Disney would have its Operational act together. Disney has such great tech innovations for those of us with hearing issues but I agree useless unless it is operational.

Guess what we're getting (again) this weekend? Another foot of snow!! (hee hee . . .) It's supposed to be followed by sub-zero temperatures (not counting the wind chills on top of that).

I'm definitely going to still see if I can find the goodwill Yeti lurking around the city; he really seems to like the weather we've been having lately. Perhaps I can talk him into returning to Expedition Everest in a few weeks. ;)

This is how I was last winter. I grew weary of the constant large snowfalls.

Yea, since we've never been there for any longer than a week, we like to stay as immersed in the "Magic" as is reasonably possible, for us. "Cheesy" theming and all, if that's what it takes, even though we don't spend that much time at the resort, and the DTD Hilton has better for similar price.
DWifey and I stayed at Pop on a "just the two of us" trip back in Dec. of '08 for our 20th wedding anniversary, and it was just fine. We've also stayed in family suites at Music twice, on family trips, and in a family suite at AoA in the Cars section (which, imo, the Cars section, anyway, is very well-themed) on another family trip. Have never had any issues with the beds at any of the values, that I remember, but, then again, I'd sleep on a deck chair out by the pool for the night, if they'd let me. ;)

Speakin' of AoA, isn't that place considered a "moderate" now with the way the prices have gone up...? o_O

Yeah we differ on the Cheesy theming. That is why I always loved POR it had been free of Cheesy, then the invasion of the Princesses. I'm fond of the Hilton because it is directly across the street from DTD and they get EMHs. No DME though just like Swan and Dolphin. Our next trip we are thinking of staying at Old Key West similar to the two Port Orleans resorts just a bit more space.
