You could also purchase a mini air blower for electronics, saves money if you do cleaning constantly.

I have one and worth the 1000 pesos I paid for it (air cans are almost 100 pesos a piece, so thats the blower is worth 10 cans) plus.. sometimes the compressed cans of air can throw white residue which is dangerous to components.
No more gadgets:D

Dear Lord how scary. Her poor skin. That photo is awful and I have no doubt how disturbing that was for her daughter to witness. I don't know how the daughter can unsee that.

Still...I wait for a segment of fans to criticize the woman like some have for the woman that was injured on the boardwalk in Florida.
I found the attitude of the employees more worrisome.
I mean.. really? blaming her? when the dude with the torch actually made the broulee explode? o_O

Although they (whoever "they" are--does anyone know who "they" are, by the way? o_O) say, that "travel is one of the best experiences in life" -- it can also be one of the most annoying ones! It can be exhausting dealing with all the drama of equipment issues, delays, etc.

I really hope that the rest of the trip goes well, and they have a wonderful time. I'm sure they will. :)

Thanks, Minnie! :)
Once they finally got to Cologne everything has been going smoothly...! :)

And, none of "us" know who "they" are. It's the worlds most closely guarded secret. "They" could tell "us", but, then "they" would probably hafta' kill "us"... :cautious:  ;)

Have you seen any pictures? What all did they do in Amsterdam? Anne Frank House? Madame Tussauds? Art museums? Naughty museum? Canal tour? There's so much to see there!! We take the kids to Nemo, which is like a big hands-on science museum there. I hope they are having a blast!!

Yes, along with the Snapchats, DD has texted us lots of pics of the whole trip.
I know for sure they did a canal tour, went to at least one art/history museum, and took a quick spin through the red light district (which is apparently right next to the oldest church in Amsterdam), just to say they had.
A few pics...! :)

We are spending our first night at All Star Music since we came a day early. The Cabins were unavailable for a Passholder discount for tonight. First observations. The sofa bed when we opened it had a washer and screw pop out while we unfolded it. Went to the bedroom to call and inform housekeeping. Phone was dead. Checked the phone cord. It was cut. Went to the other phone now and called to inform them about the sofa and the phone.

The bathrooms and kitchenette area look clean.

Loads of Brazilians. Went to get an early dinner just before 5. Got here at 4. The food court was empty. Went to order. Turned around and boom, like magic, there was a teenage Brazilian tour group behind us. :jawdrop:Timing is everything.
Got pizza for kids. I had a veggie burger. )shocker.) Dh had a chicken caesar salad. All was good.

How does that even HAPPEN?? It doesn't say whether or not they did anything about it...I mean, yes, they called the paramedics and she was taken to the hospital, but did she get any sort of compensation? I would hope the medical expenses would be paid for her, and that she didn't have to pay for at least her meal if not the entire stay. That's a pretty serious thing that completely ruins the vacation.

Oh lovely! I'm a big proponent of the boat tours in Europe. You get to see a lot and if you get a guide who is good with English, you can get a bunch of the history and then you can go back and see the things that interest you when you are off the boat. It's great to get you oriented with points of interest and where they are. Looks like they maybe went to the Rijksmuseum. Very cool. We went there to see Rembrandt's Night Watch when it was on exhibition there and it was so shocking because I didn't know how HUGE it is. I thought standard painting size...like a couple feet by maybe a meter. I didn't know it took up a whole WALL. And that's the CROPPED size. Apparently the wall for which it was commissioned was not that big and they ended up cutting part of it off so it would fit the wall. I wonder what they did with the part they cut off.

Edited to add: A walk through the red light district is kind of a must. I used to have to walk past the Red Light District in Arnhem on my way to the language school when I first moved here. I changed my route when men seemed to think I was part of the merchandise.
