I wonder, would there be a real car like this?
The car looks a lot like a Minocooper or a Nissan Micra.

Yes, along with the Snapchats, DD has texted us lots of pics of the whole trip.
I know for sure they did a canal tour, went to at least one art/history museum, and took a quick spin through the red light district (which is apparently right next to the oldest church in Amsterdam), just to say they had.
A few pics...! :)

It seems that is why she's suing.
Because if you read the bottom of the article.. it seems the staff blamed her and said it was not a big deal o_o

I wonder how all that goes in France. Like the one on the Boardwalk a quick lawsuit was filed. It isn't always that people want to make a pile of money it is often to preserve evidence and to have information shared. My guess and hope is they will both be settled. What the staff says in a restaurant isn't necessarily the road the legal staff wants to go down. Now in France I have no idea how all that is handled.

It's really daycare. She goes to a Goddard school. She's almost 2.5, so in another six months she'll start preschool there, but it will still effectively be daycare, lol.
Oh that makes so much more sense! There are still schools here that aren't out yet...our region was the first to get out, my nephew's last day was yesterday, and then there's one more region that has one week left yet. But I don't know anywhere else where they go so late. Certainly not in the US. Are there schools in the US that do the year round system where you only get 6 weeks off for break anymore? California used to do that, but I know it was controversial. As a parent, I love it, but as a kid, I couldn't imagine only 6 weeks off!

Sounds fair to me.
When I was a kiddo there were certain things we were expected to do, as well there should have been. If we didn't attend to those things we lost privileges. And so it went with our kiddos.
The kiddos learn responsibility and the household runs much smoother.
Plus, let's face it, it's not like cleaning your room, taking out the trash, etc., involves any kinda' rocket science...! ;)
Except when a certain somebody has to organize his rocket parts:rolleyes: and rocket models

*pixie dust* We had a very similar issue at the Contemporary with the day bed. Late at night, pulled down spread for the kid and there was no bedding, none whatsoever. Over an hour waiting for housekeeping that never came. Went to front desk and they couldn't get anyone in housekeeping to answer. Offered to switch rooms...you're so tired and pack up and move????

Sorry. Hope you get some sleep. Good day tomorrow!
What she said {{HUGS}} Spend the money on something for the person who waited up:D

Okay. So it was 10:05pm. Dh fell asleep on a chair in the bedroom. Two kids in the bed in the bedroom. Two others in the beds in the living area. I decided to stay up and wait for the sofa bed. I had called between 8:30 and 9:00 and was told that one was coming. When I called after 10, the guy answering the phone said that they thought I wanted a room change. I said no. I was told that we were just getting a sofa bed delivered. He got a supervisor who came on the line and said that the furniture guys had already left for the day and that they had called us to get us a new room. Turns out they called our house number and not the cell number I gave at online check in. She offered to still change rooms for us and I said that 5/6 of us were asleep. I also informed her about the call the previous hour where I was assured a sofa was coming. In the end we received a $100 credit on our account and a roll away, which I am waiting for now. I just feel like opening the sofa bed and sleeping on it. Too tired for emoji placement. Feel free to add where necessary.
Wow...communication, people! At least they seem to have made amends...that's good. And a $100 credit is always nice. Now you can enjoy your vacation! Have fun!

I am not a fan of the trend to blame the consumer. I've seen all sorts of things lit tableside. Yeah it is dramatic but I Always thought it was an accident waiting to happen.
I was at a Mexican restaurant once and I ordered fajitas and when they serve it, they squeeze fresh lime juice on something, I don't even remember what, but when the server squeezed the lime, the juice shot right in my eye, and OMG did that burn!! Never got any compensation for it, but there was no permanent damage...it just stung for a while. But had they set me on fire, I would expect medical bills to be covered and my meal to be comped. There's no way it's the customer's fault unless she physically grabbed the torch out of the chef's hands. People wear perfume/cologne, they drink alcohol, men wear aftershave...if those are dangers when using a torch, then you don't do it at the table.

So, all the talk about vacations, I decided to look up when we have vacation the next couple of years, and I tell DH I think we should plan our next Disney vacay for 2019. We have the latest vacation that year, from like the 20th of July to September 1st or 2nd. We could go toward the end of the vacation period when it would be less busy because most kids are back to school. Plus, Star Wars land is slated to open that year. I ask him his thoughts and he says "Well....there are other places we want to go to besides Disney....right?" Um...sure, but that doesn't mean I don't ever want to go back to Disney! Plus, the things we want to see are all things that aren't really interesting for a 11 year old, which our son will be then. I said "Can you see DS in Italy, walking through churches and museums? Because I can't." That's something for when the kids are grown. I hope I'm not going to be like @BuddyThomas , trying to convince my DH to let me go to Disney again.

Reminds me of when I was a kid. I was always getting yelled at by my mother, for my messy room. (Descriptive terms such as "pigsty" were referenced, when she'd comment about it. :p) But hey, it had that down home, "lived in" appeal--I tried passing that one off on her--and that never went over well. ;) :D

Also, I could never figure out why I had to clean it up every Saturday morning, when I knew I was just going to make a mess again the following week? o_O :p Thought I could have been doing more important things with my time, like going outside to play. :joyfull:
