Updated the re-trip if anyone is interested.
Yes, they will come the week after, between 10 and noon. I don't know my work schedule for that week yet but at least then, even if I work the night before, I can still be up and presentable by the time they get there.Sympathy like, did you manage to reschedule?
Yikes!! Sounds like you need a vacation! It's been an interesting stretch for things either breaking or going offline. Lost power recently due to storms--that was understandable, and power came back on in a few hours.
Car broke recently; that's still in for repair, with delays from the holiday, for parts being sent in.
Then, the gas company decided to replace a pipe in front of the house over the weekend, and the guys checked in with hubs (who was home at the time) to make sure he still had hot water. He said he did. Next morning, there was no hot water. The gas company guys never thought to take into effect, that the hot water tank had some hot water still in it, when they asked him about it. (What happens when the remaining hot water runs out?!! Duhhh . . .) So when the tank ran out that night, we had cold water. Hubs called gas company (his call was routed to New York--um, we live in MA . . . ) to come and fix this, and a tech came out--the installers never turned the gas switch back on in the basement!
Then last night we had another power failure--luckily a brief one this time. But there were no storms, etc., in area.![]()
They are advertising the carp out of this movie on Cartoon Network/Nickelodeon.Spotted this sign in the subway today. Seriously, Hollywood? Am I being Punked? View attachment 213817

Okay, maybe this is more information than I should share but here it goes anyway. I got my first ever mammogram this morning (I turned 40 last week and my grandmother died of breast cancer. Anyway, I was going in dreading the experience with all that I have heard from people, it was not a bad experience at all. I didn't have any pain, sure it was a bit awkward but I was expecting extreme discomfort. I left feeling relieved and miffed about why people complain about it. But maybe some people are more sensitive than others.
I'm not going to lie... from all the stories I've heard the image in my mind of a mammogram is pretty much getting your chest smashed between two steel plates. I'm completely dreading needing one. This gives me a little hope, LOL
Breakfast at CP is pretty civilized as is Cape May dinner. Just not my go to. Nobody in my family has ever been volume eaters. Blessed I was that wayI'm not a fan of buffets either but we did like TH better than GG. When we were at TH they trays were constantly being rotatedthe food at GG seemed like it was under a heat lamp longer
That being said as long as the boys go with us there will still be buffets and all you care to eat places on our ADR list. CP breakfast is also still worth it for us
I was annoyed with Coke. There early Sunday. The hole empty. Sold out in 30 minutes? No rainchecks.States vary with # of items that need to be in stock, if a sale price is offered. Not sure how that relates to food, but I do know that in MA (at least as far as I can recall), there had to be a minimum of two items, in stock, that were at the advertised sale price. This part of the law was enacted to curb bait and switch items at higher prices.
I had the exact same experience with my first one. I was 32 and having lost my mom to breast cancer, and both of my grandmothers died of it as well, and all the female cousins have had it, we decided it was best for me to get a baseline to compare later. I was so scared going in, but it wasn't bad at ALL. I had a scare several months ago...I found a lump. That time was a bit more painful...not sure why, but still nothing to what I had even expected the first time. Still nothing to complain about. And it all turned out fine...just a lump of completely harmless tissue, so yay. But good for you that you went in and got it done, even though it was a bit scary. So many women don't. And just think how many women you can now encourage, and let them know it's not as bad as they are thinking it will be!Okay, maybe this is more information than I should share but here it goes anyway.
