Oh, didn't you know? I have the attention span of a 5-year-old! :hilarious: Seriously, I'll go to places for a few hours and take it all in--and then I want to split. I can only look through cute little shops for so long, knowing that most of the stuff is not what I normally buy, and the rest is overpriced. So that cuts down my interest. But, I really had a good time overall.

It was also hot yesterday under the sun (even though it was a gorgeous day). So after sightseeing along the seaport area, browsing in shops and getting lunch, I was ready to leave. Also, the trains out of Rockport were only every 2 hours. As it was, between the buses and two train connections (each way) yesterday, I left home to walk to the bus at 7:00 AM, and by the time I got home, it was around 3:00 PM.
Sometimes I forget you keep normal hours:hilarious:

I've kinda through my sensibility to the wind this weekend for the 4th of July where my eating habits are concerned. Kinda what I also do at Disney too.
But at least my taste buds and tummy are happy. Luckily nobody will be analyzing my blood this week. But tonight I tried to even it out. I BBQ pork chops with BBQ sauce and also BBQ fresh zuk's in herbs. Sadly that was followed up with Dairy Queen Hot Fudge Sundae minus the whip cream and nuts and cherry lol.

You guys are great! Thank you!!
My DS first trip to Disney was at 14 months, he learned to walk the day before. If I haven't told you the story of how Disney called the paramedics for him on Day #1 without our knowledge I'll share again.

My DD first trip was cause our pre birth trip was cancelled by my OB so she was 2 months old. I am a strong believer in very large Mary Poppins bags for the airplane to keep them distracted during the flights to and from Disney World. Need advice on seat friendly age appropriate distractions just ask. I also took these type of distractions to our table service restaurants. I think that distractions are the things that many parents don't think of to make their own experience better. My son was a great lover of Teenage Mutant Turtles the 1.0 version. They were always in my bag. They worked in the queues, restaurants, airplane. My DD was more of an intense self occupier. Sticker books, crayons, paper doll and color-form books worked well. I have many of a thing I brought that was small and compact to avoid meltdowns.

I would love to hear the story!!

I usually carry a Ziploc bag with a few coloring pages and crayons in it. And two hot wheels cars and a miniature Thomas the train set. She does pretty good at restaurants and on the plane, usually. We started planning this trip right after Christmas so I've been fortunate enough to pick up a bunch of Disney things on clearance like sticker activity books, stamps, tsum tsums, figurines of her favorite shows, etc. All purse sized and portable!!

add lysol and wet wipes to your park bag. Most dollar stores have them in a small flat resealable bag. I'm hardly a germaphobe but I have been known to wipe down qs tables some of them are......... even after a cm wipes them down

My dh and I are both military veterans, so even before we had the kid we've always had wet wipes on us :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

@DisneyBound2017 if you're going to any of the night time shows pick up some glow necklaces and bracelets from the dollar store. Disney charges a fortune for them:greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy:

I read that on this forum :jawdrop: we were fortunate enough to grab some glow necklaces with Minnie on them from the clearance bin at party City a few months back and a Frozen wand that lights up came with a tutu we got her for her birthday. Glow sticks and necklaces are definitely on my shopping list though!!

Lots of fireworks noise in my neighborhood last night. My grandson thought that the conure would be freaking out. However, she went to sleep at her normal time. Not a peep out of her. During the day, she seems to get spooked by certain noises, and it can make her fly crazily through the house when she is out of her cage. Drives me crazy since I am afraid of her. She's a biter, which my husband says is natural for her type of bird. Still makes me want to hide when she's out of her cage, which is just 2 hours in the a.m., and 2 hours in the p.m.

Happy 4th of July.

This!! We bought a ton of them and made random children very happy as we handed them out to all the kids sitting near us.
DD also put some in her hair one day...we did her hair in Minnie Ears...I'll see if I can find a picture...DSCF5209.JPG

And the wetwipes are also great...we got little packages that fit in a pocket. Particularly great for DS after eating ice cream or anything sticky.

Skin care alert. I've seen some recent articles stating if you use a skin care product with retinol do not get that part of the body waxed because you will easily burn and get quickly infected:hungover: @Sans Souci and I discussed eyebrows on another thread
Whelp, I don't have anything with retinol and I do not see the need to rip hair out by its roots, so...
