When we can't keep the food on a tray I put down napkins as a placemat. I remember one Christmas we got food at Cosmic Ray's and there was absolutely no where to sit. My daughter used the tray on her stroller and my ex and I found a not so traveled area nearby. We ate sitting on the ground.

Chick-fil-A has really great disposable placemats. I'll grab a few before we head down. I'm sure we'll eat there at least twenty times before December :hilarious::hilarious:

My first car was built in 1969 and I got a few years out of it:joyfull:

Hahaaa...!
Mine was built in '71; an Olds Cutlass. When I bought it in '79, it had 92K+ miles on it. When DWifey finally talked me into getting rid of it in the early '90's, it had 181K un-rebuilt miles on it, and still wasn't burning any appreciable amounts of oil. As a matter of fact, I don't remember her ever spittin' out even one puff of blue smoke. Woof! I hated gettin' rid of that car..!

The other day a car went past me on the highway (only about 6-8 years old) that was leavin' a nice little blue streak behind it the whole way. Probably goin' through a quart of oil every 5-7 days...

I have found the one over by UNI to be quite useful. :)

Oh, no doubt they have some great stuff. It's been a while, but, I remember their beer section bein' awesome...!!! :D :)
They've just always been very pricey, and then there was that whole price-gouging thing up north a few years back. The last time we were in one was about 1.5 years ago. They've been such a large player in that area of the industry for so long, I'm just surprised, based on sheer volume, they don't offer things at more reasonable prices.
Anyway, hopefully Amazon can get 'em back on track, as, from what I understand, their market share had kinda' leveled off over the last few years, or so. It has always been a great concept, they just need to dial it in...! :)

I've kinda through my sensibility to the wind this weekend for the 4th of July where my eating habits are concerned. Kinda what I also do at Disney too.
But at least my taste buds and tummy are happy. Luckily nobody will be analyzing my blood this week. But tonight I tried to even it out. I BBQ pork chops with BBQ sauce and also BBQ fresh zuk's in herbs. Sadly that was followed up with Dairy Queen Hot Fudge Sundae minus the whip cream and nuts and cherry lol.

The food looks good. I'm having BBQ today. The dinner menu has BBQ pulled pork Sandwiches, Fresh peas from Farmer's market, Jello with Mushmallows and German chocolate Cupcakes for dessert.

I know my favorite Frozen Custard place has 2 fourth of July themed Flavors of the Day, but I'm not going there today. One is called All American Cherry. All American Cherry has Blue Berries, Cherries, and Vanilla Custard. I didn't see any pictures of it online.

The other flavor is Birthday Cake Custard. Here is a picture of it:

I really don't have a problem with a pretty wide range of temperature variations, but, I would have a problem living with snow and ice for several months at a time. My DWifey loves heat so much I have been known to make TSSFFBRs in the high 20 temps just to cool off. DWifey keepse the house so darn hot in the winter. Yet, I don't have a problem outside in the crazy heat. Go figure. :cyclops:
And, I really sleep best in cooler air with no stuffiness. Cooler air is easier to breath. I love hot weather, but, I sleep best in cooler temps...!!! ;)
If I could my house would be 80 in the winter. I am not a fan of high electric bills though. ;)

Never have been able to figure out why just saying husband, wife, son, daughter or whatever wasn't good enough. We can all assume that they are dear to the posters.

I always felt bad for the people who couldn't stand some members of their family--because they couldn't very well use D before identifying the person, in the thread, now could they?! :D

My boys have some serious issues!!!! They watched a stream of what they consider to be the most important sporting event of the year. This year another record was set, 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes:hungover::hungover::hungover::hungover:. next year maybe I should enter my little angels so I don't have to feed them for a day:hilarious::banghead:

Oh that must be the Nathan's hog dog contest on Coney Island, right? Wish I knew it was on--I would have tuned in, too! But that's o.k. -- they always show the 2 finalists on the news in the evening--I'll catch up! :joyfull:

Hey, you must be happy that you can use the beaches now in NJ--saw that your governor finally signed a budget this morning, so that families could enjoy at least the holiday down on the beach (even if they couldn't use the beaches for the past few days, of a long holiday weekend for many . . .  )

I wonder who won? because I know in the last 5-10 years, there has been always a competition between an american dude and a japanese ultra slim dude, who somehow can swallow 70+ hotdogs x_x

I had every bit of clothing priced at $1. I sold an old double stroller and a high chair to grandparents whose daughter was expecting twins. Let both go for $15. I was definitely not priced high. This was my first yard sale. Usually we donate. This was to raise money for dd's cheer. Earned $285 so not complaining. :)
Did you have any sort of sign or a way for people to see that the money was for a particular thing? I've found people tend to be a bit more generous if they understand what they are funding rather than just you trying to get some money out of your old things. But then people over here don't do yard/garage sales at all, nor bake sales, etc. But I sold more GS cookies when I was younger if I could tell people a bit about what we did with the money. It makes people feel more personally invested.

The thing I loved about the wipes is that they could be used for more than just tables. You could wipe down a toilet seat, or clean the sunscreen off your hands without needing to find a bathroom to wash, and they are refreshing just to wipe yourself down when you've been baking in the Florida sun for a while.
