That is just too late for any noise!

Yep! At least I was so tired from all the vacation activities still so I fell back asleep pretty easy. I'm sure they will continue their fireworks through the 4th, they do it every year. However, they typically aren't noisy or bad neighbors and they don't complain about when my dog barks so I will keep my complaints to myself (and you guys and hubby). So as long as they don't burn down my house with their fireworks we are all good.

Yeah. When I had my goldens I had to sedate them for days. Bad enough during the day but as people tried to sleep to have idiots needing to explode things is indeed obnoxious. I feel your pain.

Note we live in a state that only sparklers are legal.

And yet... I am still surrounded by idiots who have those things going at all hours. This was also the first year we got ad mail from Indiana to come buy their fireworks. It is only the 3rd, and I am already tired of it. M-80's--I don't even understand the point. No pretty colors, no spark, just shake my house BOOM!

I go to the Lambs Farm mega craft show there every fall. Never been to the races though. It is pretty since they rebuilt it after the fire that burnt the place down in the middle 80s. We actually lived very close to there when the place burnt down.

Try the ice cream place sometime. It is a half block off northwest highway near central. I at times take NW highway to my Moms in Park Ridge. Ice Cream is so freaky good.

Kapono is really happy to be home. When I picked her up she gave me tons of kisses and wouldn't leave my side. I don't think she minds being at my sister's house but I think she gets a little tired of being the object of my sister's puppy's affection. :) My sister said that the two dogs were little buddies and my dog looked at me with a look that said "it wasn't my choice to be his buddy."

If we drove I might bring a coffee pot with me, that is a good idea. The Joffrey's coffee left in the hotel rooms isn't that great, not enough grounds in the pod or something as it is pretty weak, or at least it was when I drank it last year at the Caribbean. It was better than nothing, and better than walking to the food court. I do really like the Joffrey's coffee at the food courts at the value resorts and since I have to walk to the main building to get the bus anyway, it is fairly convenient to to buy, it is just so hot though. It takes about 10 minutes for it to cool down enough for me to drink it! :)
When I brought the tiny 4 cup it was in the days where everyone could check 2 suitcases for free and there were 4 of us. I'd pack 3 large suitcases put a 4th empty duffle in one for the stuff we bought. I'd check a Coleman cooler as a bag cause they didn't have mini fridges back then and give it away before we left. 2 weeks no fridge was rough with little ones.

Welcome back @ajrwdwgirl . :) Can't wait to read about your trip. :)I am so far behind on this thread now. Will have lots of ketchup to do.

Had a community yard sale this weekend. I am so not equipped for these things.
Lady: " How much do you want for this?" (It was a kids skort.) I said $1(It was Gymboree.) She said, "I will give you $1 for both." (2 skorts). This was me. In my head I was thinking, "Are you kidding me? :banghead::banghead::banghead: It is Gymboree and in great shape". But what I said was "Sure, no problem." In the end I realized that I really didn't want to take the stuff home.

Today is also my 18th wedding anniversary! :):):)

Happy anniversary!!

I hate yard sales because of the haggling. People price high and expect you to haggle. I'd rather just have a straight forward transaction and not have to worry about that.

Art of Animation in a Little Mermaid room! I wanted to get us a Lion King suite, but since neither of us are huge Disney fans, and neither of us has been before, we just couldn't justify the price.

Yep, the price for the suites has spiraled out of control since we stayed there in July of '12. The only 2 sections that were open at the time were Nemo and Cars. We had 2 Cars suites on that week-long trip with my 60% CM discount. We had another family of 5 along with our family of 5, plus youngest DD's BFF, oldest DD's BFF, and oldest DD's future hubby that proposed to her in front of the Castle on the morning of her 21st birthday, after taking a trolley ride up MSUSA with the Dapper Dans on board singing Happy Birthday to her...!!!!! :joyfull:
Yes, we may have cheated a little bit :cautious:, as that makes 13 for 2 6-person suites for a few days before future SonIL and oldest DD's BFF that had to leave in the middle of the week to get back to work and summer semester.

Although we don't generally spend much time at the resort anyway, we really liked AoA. We ate at the food court a coupla' times, and I particularly enjoyed the Surf N' Surf Burger...a crab cake with fried shrimp on top...!!! :hungry:

On our June of '13 trip, we wanted to stay there again, but, they had CM discount blackouts for the time we were going to be there, and the prices had gone up substantially. So, we stayed at ASMusic with my CM discount at a much cheaper price. :)

With a little one, make sure y'all tour all the resort sections, and enjoy some pool time. It's a pretty cool resort, especially for kiddos...!!! :)
