In other news, went to a botanical park near my town. All the other way from the bay...

Bautiful place.
Wished I could have stayed more, but my cousins had other plans.

Not as big or as beautiful as the Butchart Gardens at BC. But still pretty. And has a ton of birds varieties.. mostly humming birds.

Welcome home to you and Brad!!

Thank you it is good to be home, especially to be with Kapono.

Welcome back @ajrwdwgirl hope you had a great trip. Did you get to see the Dapper Dans?

Thanks! We did get to see them once. We tried to see them again on Monday but they never showed up at the time they were supposed to perform. We even canvased the area.

Welcome back @ajrwdwgirl . :) Can't wait to read about your trip. :)I am so far behind on this thread now. Will have lots of ketchup to do.

Had a community yard sale this weekend. I am so not equipped for these things.
Lady: " How much do you want for this?" (It was a kids skort.) I said $1(It was Gymboree.) She said, "I will give you $1 for both." (2 skorts). This was me. In my head I was thinking, "Are you kidding me? :banghead::banghead::banghead: It is Gymboree and in great shape". But what I said was "Sure, no problem." In the end I realized that I really didn't want to take the stuff home.

Today is also my 18th wedding anniversary! :):):)

Thanks and happy anniversary! Hubs and I just celebrated our 12th on the 25th.

Checking out a bit early this a.m. Decided to go to see the ocean this morning up in Rockport. That's 1 bus and 2 trains for me to get there, but it will still be fun. It's a quaint little town on the north shore of MA with lovely ocean views, cute little shops and places to eat. :) I'm so glad I'm off from work today!!! :D

Sounds like a fun day! Enjoy the ocean and shops. I hope you treat yourself to a little ice cream too, that is perfect beach day food. Did your hubs go with you?

Yes, indeed! :)
And...
We are discussing ways to, maybe, get myself a sport pilot license and do some renting every now and then, in the future. I have loved to fly all of my life, and I just cannot get over how cool the gyroplane was...!!!!!!! :inlove:
And, as I posted, it is such a safe and stable flight platform. I've watched tons of videos about gyroplanes/gyrocopters/autogyros over the last coupla' weeks.
The one I flew in is a Magni M16 Turbo, and it is the highest ranked gyroplane in flight stability. I've done my research and it is an amazing aircraft...!!!!!!! :inlove:
Ultimately, none of it's cheap, but, it's not out of reach either, so we'll see...! :)
I have to ask, have you ever been to the fly in at Osh Kosh?

Has anyone here ever gotten a "group text message"? I am not really sure what that is. All I know is that late yesterday, my cell phone started to continually send me back to back text messages from people I did not know. Someone on one of those text messages wrote who sent this stupid group message. I turned off my phone until this morning, after deleting all the messages. it sure was annoying.

Glad that it cooled off today. I need a new project after finally finishing putting all my photos on SmugMug. A life's worth of photos took me over a year to download on SmugMug.

I use to go to Frontier Days in a town where we owned our first town. This evening my DD and I went there...for the Ribs. :hungry:

Then we moved over to an awesome ice cream parlor. Back in the day it was the general store and post office built in 1882 there is a great small park next to it named for the once general store. Ever go to Capannari's @MouseDreaming ???

There are about 10 benches and a gazebo to take your ice cream and eat it in there. While there a 3.5 year old little girl who was so into her ice cream was wearing Minnie Mouse shoes. Mom a WDW purse. Leap pad for a conversation.
Nope, never been. Yesterday, I was somewhere near there with the family, kids had never been.

Just curious about this. I know that the theaters around here have "reserved" seating. I haven't been to any of those theaters in years. My question is this: so, let's say you reserve a seat in a specific location. What if you have noisy people around you, and you want to move? (In the past, I've moved to a different seat in a theater, if there was a noisy crowd.) But if you have to stay in a "reserved" seat--you could get stuck there, right? o_O

Sorry, but, we've never had that issue come up, so I really don't know what the policy is.

Too little has come out on this test of housekeeping-less guest rooms. Is that an option? Or all or nothing for the reservation?
Somebody else may have already responded, but it is 20 per day of your stay. You must agree to it at check in. And yes, all or nothing. I can't even imagine some of the gross smells coming from those rooms with no garbage taken away, and the mildew smell from wet towels. :hungover:

Well, my boss told me on Friday that coming in today was optional. I was going to come in for the morning because, ya know...:greedy:. But then at about 10 pm last night when I was exhausted and the house still wasn't clean, I decided no work today.

So after rolling out of bed 30 minutes ago, I'm enjoying my avocado toast here. Then I get to take my car for the emissions testing and then clean my house. And then an airport run later to get my grandmother and the girls. We're going out to dinner tonight, and they'll spend the night here. Then to get my parents tomorrow. Then tomorrow, I intend to lay on a lounge chair and do nothing for the afternoon.

I HATE HATE HATE those! I have a sister that does it and I continually had to tell her not to include my number. Now I rarely hear from her. Oh well, problem solved. :D
