It's so obnoxious with the locals setting off those things. I wouldn't mind if they knocked it off by say, 10:00 PM, but when they're out there well beyond midnight--it's just rude and infuriating. The local cops are spread thin, chasing these people down around this time of year. My dog totally freaks out, too--he's terrified of the noise.

And to add to the ongoing list of injuries from people using them, an 18-year-old guy in my state, just had multiple fingers blown off yesterday. Even though it's against the law in MA to use them (except for the professional fireworks displays) these sad news stories happen every year around this time. :(

We set them off but are usually done by 10ish, keep a water bucket nearby, short fuses get longer ones and use a bbq lighter. The fireworks store always has BOGO and put a handful of small freebies in your bag at checkout. (poppers and snakes this time) If I thought the conditions weren't right or unsafe I wouldn't do it. Our neighbors set off the big boys. I just sit and watch those.

It may depend on the story line of Coco and how much other than the ride that gets changed. If it's only the ride I'm ok with that especially if San Angel gets some decent food and less tables.

Boy I could have gotten this all wrong but I thought just the ride was going to be about CoCo vs about Mexico, like Frozen and Norway.

I did see a photo in the last few days of San Angels somewhere on this site. and dang those tables for 2 are slammed even tighter. The photo caught a server trying to deliver food and the tushie was right up against the person at the next table over. If there was a person of size in that section in all honesty I don't know how they could make that work. Crazy.

I'm not sure when this was taking...early 90s I know that. BUT look at all the trees!!!

At least those trees were in MK instead of a city of just over 12,000 people because those trees would've been gone. I am mentioning this because this escaped from the Circus Museum five in the morning on Friday for breakfast:

As far as that elephant does, it escaped by another female elephant releasing the bolts from the Latche. That elephant crossed a river and went into the front yard and backyard based on what I read for food. It also drank water from the fountain.

At least that Elephant wasn't in the city I live in or in the neighborhood for that matter:).

The problem for me would've having a water fountain in the front yard and the neighbor across the street has lots of green plants.

Yeah. When I had my goldens I had to sedate them for days. Bad enough during the day but as people tried to sleep to have idiots needing to explode things is indeed obnoxious. I feel your pain.

Note we live in a state that only sparklers are legal.

I vote Ireland. I haven't been but I have friends who've visited and a few originally from there so it's near the top of my bucket list.

Ireland would be cool! :)
As y'all remember, oldest DD spent about a month in Europe (England, Scotland, Ireland, and Germany) last summer with the in-laws and her hubby, and they had a blast!!!!! :joyfull:
They fly out this coming Friday for another 2-week European trip. This time, to Cologne, Amsterdam, Prague, and Frankfurt. And, they will be meeting up with some of our family relatives in Prague that my folks have met up
with on 3 previous trips there...!!! :)

It looks like Ireland too because I need to learn German first for Austria or Germany which I'm not quite that good at the language yet.

England would be expensive after you factor in the exchange rate and cost of living. For example....Bryant University (here) cost $40K for one year (12 classes) of masters and one of the schools I would go to in England cost 17,000 pounds but after everything, it will cost $38K or more depending how much you spend (they give you an estimate on cost of living).

And one of the things about Ireland, Guinness tours on the weekend :hilarious:

Cheers to that last part...!!!!!!! :joyfull: :hungry:
