There have been some good summer/wedding related movies on Hallmark the last couple of weeks. Hallmark movies are a fun guilty pleasure. I know how they will turn out, but I can't stop watching. Hubs makes fun of me a little bit, but he has watched a few with me and said they weren't "too bad".:)

Hahaaa...!!!!! :hilarious:
I may, or may not, pay a bit of attention when DWifey is watching them every now and then... :cyclops:

And now for the next episode of yes, SWG can cook, but her parents don't need to know that...

Started out with baked potato soup, which no, I did not make. It's from Safeway. I added some cheese and a few bacon bits as a garnish.

Then we have grilled chicken breast with a chipotle pepper seasoning topped with fresh avocado abd served with some lima beans (which I love).

We have 6 nights at WDW before the cruise. The ADR is for Monday, lunch at Homecomin'. I haven't decided if I should get the chicken again or try something new. Maybe hubby will want to share two different dishes. I do know I want some of those biscuits. I just wish hubby liked deviled eggs because I would love to try those and I probably shouldn't eat the whole appetizer of those by myself. It isn't an appetizer that would travel well for touring around after, and it would be awkward to share with people at another table.

I laughed reading this. Then read it to my DD. Response: Sounds like she should just get the deviled eggs. She wants them.

I was going through pictures for my TR and got to the Happily Ever After pics and video I took. Dd6 heard and came over and then said she wanted to watch on tv. So I found it on YouTube. Then it started playing the last Wishes automatically. It made me teary especially when it ended but the whole crowd was singing Wishes. :(

One of the girls my DD works with was there for the last Wishes. It ended and nobody moved, everyone just stood there. :inlove:

Yum or yum until you got to those lima beans. One of the very few veggie I dislike. FYI I have that dinner plate too!

Apparently, we have monsoon season now. Ground is now saturated here. And warnings went up that if you were in the city at Pride, take shelter. Crazy.

Oh, and I have waterfront property, again. Did this one miss you @Gabe1 ?

Well yes and no. We only got about 20 minutes of the monsoon this afternoon or so my DD said. Me on the otherhand headed to Schaumburg-WoodField. I was maybe 5 minutes away driving in zip rain, crossed a major road and was in a monsoon. And I mean a monsoon. I could barely see through the rain.

The inlets to Woodfield were heavily flooded when I got my truck in there. The aisles all had several inches of water and you could barely see the mall buildings. I sat in my truck for over an hour. So close yet so far away. I would have been soaked including shoes. So there I sat. Thank goodness for smart phones, at least I had something to play with.

We did get hit again just after 8pm.

They're going to Disneyland and then Hawaii. I opted out because they were only going to Disneyland for five days, and I don't want to fly across the country for a short trip like that, and then they're going to Hawaii, and I think if I go back to Hawaii, I'd want to do it on my own, just because the type of trip I want to have is different than the type they want to have, and unlike in WDW or DL, it's hard to separate. We're going to WDW in August, and I'll go for most of that trip, though I'll have to do an airport run as well because they're going down before me. There's a monthly meeting at work that I have to go to on that Friday, so I'll have to leave after that.

Gotcha! Is this the first Disney/Hawaii trip without you for them?

Not to mention that they are paid lower than normal CMS and work longer hours, right?

Ugh. I may have come across poorly. I absolutely loved the Disney College Program for my son. It brought experiences, growing up skills, high expectations and an awesome resume builder. That said, the pay structure and housing costs were beyond ridiculous. Basically everything the Mouse paid, they got right back and more. When he was at his University I always suplemented his earnings at school. Just not enough hours in the day. Same for my DD. I did the same while he was in the college program. I wanted him to learn but I also wanted him to eat and have some fun too.

My DS was enrolled in the Mouses accredited University so Disney, mandatory had to give him two days off to attend classes. They didn't run more than a couple hours a day so he could pick up shifts if he chose, but yes. 32 to 40 hours a week he was scheduled. Add in mandatory overtime. CPs got mandatory'd before full or part time staff because they were cheaper wage earners next came the Part Time, when all else failed the full time CMs. It made some CMs bitter towards the CPs but in either position my son held he had the most awesome of awesome supervisors. One even rewrote his resume for him when he finally was able to leave the CP program after he had graduated college. She was a well educated woman. I bumped into her with my son one day when I went down to see him by accident. Like a little guardian-angel that had a soft spot for him. I credit her for his first professional leap. Others are not as fortunate, they can really spin some of these students in a circle depending on their mindset.
