Same here. I'll eat it when I'm having tummy troubles. My grandma would make green jello with shredded carrots and cabbage in it every Christmas. :depressed:

I've had it with shredded carrots, but, never cabbage. Maybe that was all a back-in-the-day attempt to get kiddos to eat their veggies...!!! :hilarious:
I remember liking it with carrots, as they tend to be at least a little sweet also, but, have never heard of cabbage in Jell-O. :cyclops: ;)

Well, I just got to the airport, and I got a call from an aunt. She said that my grandmother (who is 93 and is taking care of my dog) fell down this morning and might have broken her hip. Any prayers or good feelings would be very much appreciated.

Oh my. Sympathy like. Sorry I'm so late with this. Hope she didn't break her hip, and is better now.
Prayers.

A big thank you to you both. I just touched down in Seattle, so the trip is still happening. My grandma did break her hip, and will have to go into surgery tomorrow. She lives alone, but most of the family lives within a mile of her (my aunt actually lives on the same street). I'm just worried that this happened because she was trying to feed my dog or something.

Oh boy. Another sympathy like. Hope the surgery went well and she is recovering nicely.
Continued prayers...

It was a different day today. There is a fire, 2,000 acres east of us at Saratoga. We got up and could smell the smoke, it was pretty awful the first few hours today. We were all to tired to do anything, breathing took out our energy. The TV was out due to a lightening strike. We had breakfast at Artist Pallet, the order they delivered was wrong. I spoke too soon about the service there. Oh well, just another reason to keep trying new places. We did just a few rides and headed back. None of us had any energy. I hope tomorrow will be better. Only 7 pics today...

Wow! A lightning strike in that first pic...cool! :)

Sorry about all the wildfire smoke.
When we were at WDW on our first family trip in July of '01, there were wildfires all over so much of the state. We were staying at POR and took a Tiffany Towncar from MCO to the resort the night we flew in. I remember us leaving the terminal to catch our ride and being hit with that smoke smell right away. I remember talking to our driver about it all. He said there were quite a few all around, but, most of them were either contained, or soon to be.
Funny thing is, we never saw any smoke, but, the whole WDW resort smelled pretty much like the burning Rome scene in SSE the whole week we were there (which made the burning Rome scene in SSE smell even more intense :hilarious:).
The smell was there, but, none of us ever had any breathing or irritation issues, that I remember, and the smell itself wasn't really annoying. Even our youngest (she was 6 at the time) remembers it, but, thankfully, it never came close to affecting our trip. :)

Well, at least it's keeping the bridge guys in steady employment for the past 10 years?!

My sympathy to you--commuting is also the bane of my existence all week, too. I cringe when I think about all the hours of my life I've wasted, just commuting to and from work. Yikes. :jawdrop:

Sympathy like.
Same here.
It is exactly 14.9 miles from our driveway to my office parking space.
One day about 2 weeks ago I left the office at about 6:30p and didn't get home 'til After 8p, because of t-storms we had in the area.
Yep, time I can't ever get back... :cyclops:

So, I got back from Alaska yesterday, so if I have downtime at work tomorrow (who knows, haven't been there in a week and a half lol), I will catch up on everyone's posts!!

Two things:
  1. Alaska is an amazing place, and if anyone gets the chance to visit, do it. I miss it so much.
  2. Saw Wonder Woman tonight. It was also amazing, and I feel so pumped up right now.
