This is one of the smartest inventions ever made. They could heat up a room and you could also cook on them. Plus, they're practically indestructible. The house I grew up in was more modern, so no wood stoves. What I thought was cool, though, was the revival of these beauties in maybe the past 20 years or so, when people realized that sometimes the old ways were still good ways--and people were buying them again and putting them into their homes.

Totally agree.
It wasn't like a fireplace on a side wall that, essentially, radiated heat out in one, slightly, spread out direction. It was in the middle of the room, and the entire room was heated uniformly. And yes, the fact that it did double duty for coffee and some other food items, besides the kitchen stove, was just simple genius.

So this morning, I was in the kitchen when I notice a dead spider on the floor. I go get the vacuum out, only to realize that it's still alive. After I vacuum the entire kitchen because I'm so freaked out by a spider, I head up to my room and discover a spider crawling up my arm. After I scream and scare the cat off the bed, I change the sheets and clean that entire room. And I'm still paranoid about finding another spider.

Bummer that you have to face 69 degree weather, while many of us can make snow angels and snowmen outside! Maybe you can still get some snow before the winter is over; it won't be as much as we have, but hopefully enough for you to play in!

There's always sand angels and sandmen...

My Mother passed away from Pulmonary Fibrosis. She made it about 3 years from it's diagnosis. It was found when she got pneumonia, she rallied back and then just slowly got worse. From Inhalers to Oxygen and eventually it claimed her. She was 87 when she died and up until the last two years was more active then I currently am. I wish all of you the best.

Yep, my FIL too. Once they are in their 80's it seems even with advance medicine something fails physically or mentally. My FIL was 87 too. Miss him. The one good one of the lot.

Yowza, like Bruce Jenner doesn't have enough on his plate already ....
Apparently he was responsible for a four-car crash today, resulting in the death of a woman.

If his assertion that he was being pursued by 4 papparazzi is true, then they should be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

We have one neighbor across the road and they still have their lights up and a Christmas Tree up in their picture window. All of us talk about them, they are Polish immigrants and march to a different drummer in all walks of life, they pick through our garbage cans too. Fine if you want to light your tree up in February but draw the drapes so the rest of us don't have to be struck by it nightly.

Apparently he was responsible for a four-car crash today, resulting in the death of a woman.

If his assertion that he was being pursued by 4 papparazzi is true, then they should be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Oh wow! The news has changed since the evening report that I had heard. It was reported about 5 hours ago here that he was a passenger.

Not speeding. Passed a field sobriety test. Offered to go to hospital to have his blood tested for alcohol.

Yeah, I don't care what people do in the privacy of their own home, whatever floats their boats. These people inflict their extended season on everyone else. That I find just rude.

It is amazing how different the reports are. News agencies really need to get their facts straight before opening their mouths.

hopefully they find facts. Its not the first time that papparazzis have caused real damage.
including loss of life.


In other things. Anyone knows if there is a shortcut from the Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani to the AKL Resort area ?
I'm planning on dinning on THE MARA or the SANAA.
